Interesting interview with that one guy. Preachy Prince I can do with out....his judgemental side always bugged me but he does have some thought provoking ideas and you can tell he was very passionate about his religion. It tends to annoy me when he got on his soapbox but I'm happy his religion/Larry Graham were there to get him through some tough things in his life. |

That's the case with many in the JW faith. Many are judgemental and when there is "group think" inside many cults/sects, it definitely rubs off on members inside. I think the interview opens up a whole new channel into the mind of Prince and how this sect may have greatly persuaded his thinking in his last years. Thanks for your comment. Your welcome. I don't know much about the JWs but I am Caholic and enjoy raising my son as one. So I totally understand the responsibility religous people have in attending service, having a sense of community and bring God out into the world, but I guess it is more Prince's delivery that always turned me off. His questions he phrased to this man just felt patronizing at times so I don't know, Prince would be hard to tolorate when he got like that I can imagine. But yes it does really offer a unique insight into his psyche ....I do love him as an artist even if he comes across as irritating to me (but that is just me and my issue) |

There are multitudes of judgemental and "groupthink" people outside of the JW sect. |

Agreed. There are many judgemental groups as well as individuals other than JWs.
I don't get the purpose of those videos though. I was misled into thinking it contained some footage of Prince actually preaching. It's just some random guy rehasing old information.
I mean, the guy didn't even know about Paisley Park until Prince passed for heaven's sake, so what is his deal? Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise. |

I don't see it as judgemental or preachy, particularly in recent years. Him stating where he stands is not annoying to me.

This one guy who did the "Prince Preaching" video is sorely lacking accurate information.
He got a lot of the religious information wrong. He didn't even get the meaning of Prince's use of the third eye. He was obviously anti-JW. Why else would anyone who doesn't even know what PP is get on the Internet and talk about an icon they obviously knew nothing about? Meh...one man's opinion. |
