I read on a closed thread where you all saw this singer back in 2014 and urged Prince to connect with her. He did and this is her Prince story though I see nothing that credits him on the album though a review mentions him as a fan of hers. In a new story in People Ms. Springs talks about her last visit to PP in January when Prince heard "Soul Eyes".

"The last time I was him was this January on my birthday. He flew me out and picked me up at the airport in a really nice car. Then he opened the door for me, and he's like, 'Hi!' and I'm like, 'Prince!'" Springs recalls. "He goes, 'Do you have the new record we did?' And I reached into my bag, and I'm like, 'I sure do. So we played it, and he was like, 'This is it. You finally made the right record – congrats!' Like, wow."

I'm thinking you all made this connection happen. Thinking you were as much a part of his team as the audiences at the clubs where he tested his music.

She is a phenomenal talent. Her cover of "The Beautiful Ones" is, I think, among the best. She doesn't try to sound like P. Instead, she does it her way.

BTW: She says that was able to present her portrait of Prince to the man himself. It is reportedly on display at Paisley Park.

She has a nice voice.......i thought i read more than once Prince didn't like covers of his songs?

Kandice, Andy, Judith, Esperanza all have a strong resemblance to each other. Maybe it's the fros.
