Chaos & Disorder and The Vault Sorry if this is a stupid question, but why do these two albums both have the same radiation-symbol design on their CDs?

I think it's a tape-reel on the disc.

I thought that it was an actual picture of the vault door...I'll have 2 take a closer look! By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

agreed. Both albums were released by Warner Bros to fulfill Prince's contract. Since Prince was reluctant to record anything new for them, he let them release older stuff, so the two are essentially compilations of unreleased material. Still, it's Prince music, so it's all good! Toejam @ Peach & Black Podcast: http://peachandblack.podbean.com

It is a picture of the vault at Paisley Park duplicated and arranged on the CDs to look like an old magnetic tape reel.

Thanks, everyone. But now I have other questions. I thought he gave Warner Bros. the rights to all the songs in his vault in order to get out of his contract. Chaos & Disorder was the last one he made for them, but they had the right to release future albums from the vault, which they did once. I swear I read that in Rolling Stone or somewhere. Am I totally wrong about that?

All they meant in that article was that any future CD releases on the Warners label would feature collections assembled from previously recorded tracks, which is exactly what we got (Chaos and Disorder, The Vault: Old Friends 4 Sale and The Very Best of Prince).
