I don't know the whole story apparently. I thought everyone hated #2 because of the JW, saying she was the reason he converted which is always confusing to me. I mean, in the video 'Come On' he has someone handing HIM one of those JW pamphlets - and that was what, 6 years before he & #2 got married? I truly don't know the story here. Nor the deal with Larry so don't throw bricks at me, just a curiosity. Though, from some of the videos and interviews from this time frame, (1998) Prince seems very calm and content...he's dressing a bit more 'normal' - his hairstyle was also pretty 'regular' and I felt like maybe he reached a realization that he doesn't need the huge costumes and the big hair (not that we minded either ) but that people liked him for his MUSIC...the rest was all a gimic that wasn't required. We would love him if he sat on stage in a potato sack. He might've hit a whole slew of tabloids with that get up - BUT it would have been about the music.

Kind of what I want to comment about someone starting a thread saying did Prince run out of crazy hairstyles with regards to the 'fro. Um, NO. I also hope it was a way of getting back to his true nature and truly being comfortable with that.

I'm with ya sweetie. I just emailed U and Sister all that stuff and started watching some videos/interviews I have and now I'm a wreck again. Don't feel bad we're all here with ya. Yesterday I bought some R-CD's/Memory sticks to save everything, my Mom was with me and asked why I needed all of that. I told her 4 all the P stuff I been saving. She got pissed at me, like seriously pissed at me. Went on a whole thing about how I should feel that 4 my Brother. She sent me over the freakin edge. I KNEW my Brother and I mourn him every single damn day. I kinda get mad at my Mom sometimes becuz I had 2 turn down the opportunity 2 work with P several times becuz I moved back home 2 take care of her and my Dad after we found out they BOTH had cancer. I don't get 1 single thank U. I know it's a really shit thing 2 say all that about my own parents but. SMH. Way 2 many things went wrong and way 2 many what if's are what I'm left with.

I'm so sorry you have to deal with that on top of EVERYTHING !! So So much on your plate! She is probably also grieving and in that tinted view of the world can't comprehend your feelings for Prince too. When I lost my mom (her birthday is tomorrow...probably some of the reason for the increase of random sob sessions despite them being P - related) - my sister and I had COMPLETELY different grief paths. It was wild when we would sit and compare them. We kind of explained it that...of the multiple stages of emotions one goes through on the grief coaster - she was in a revolving door of them, reaching them at rapid speed and changing abruptly through the day/week etc etc. She hit anger right quick and the helplessness. While I was like on those movators that are in airports. Slowly arriving at my next emotion, and sometimes getting off at the divide to linger/dwell in it for a while. I started with kinda a sense of calm heartache (whatever that is...?) and like a couple months later hit the anger and guilt/helpless stages. Meanwhile my sister had circles back around to calm and accepting. In a nutshell, grief is CRAZY. No two people are alike and we all just need to be a bit more understanding of those differences - it makes things soo much easier.

I don't know what was in the air yesterday but a handful go hit with the tears yesterday, myself included! Hope each day proves to be better. I do know that in spite of everything, having all y'all going through this grief rollarcoaster ride together is a godsend
