Purple... usually the metaphor used by Prince for something new, or a dawning.
A purple high, could then be some sort of realization for change. A vision of change fo rthings to come.
So where does the 4th of November come in? Well, ever since I was little I always figured that to be a reference to the 6th of November, right around the time when we vote.
It's time for a new direction, for all old ways to die, just before we make our choice, we need to realize.
Then again, I could be wrong.
