That's worth it for 'The Look of Love' alone. One of the most uplifting records ever made.

I love this too! I still can't believe it got such terrible reivews; Legal Tender is among their greatest ever singles, yet it never gets mentioned anywhere. The whole album is unfairly overlooked in their catalog.

That's a great one too, but none of his albums have as much power and raw energy as Antichrist. Manson was at his prime with that. Get Your Gunn, Lunchbox, Dope Hat, and My Monkey will always be classic tracks either way.

Then again without them I would have never heard of Manson. But either way, that doesn't take away from how good the album is. And most of the best tracks never even made it to the radio or MTV. The Reflecting God and The Angel Withe The Scabbed Wings are two of my all time favorites, but only the fans know about them. I do think he sold out in some respects, but his music is still good. The new album however is gonna take a lot of getting used to. The sound of it is very different.

true--as 4 me, my first exposure 2 manson wuz seein the vid 4 "get your gunn" when i wuz about 16 or so...then a friend of mine turned me on 2 'im with portrait. i used 2 be as big of a fan of manson as i am with p, but it started 2 bore me a bit...

not 2 mention all the preppie-types latchin on 2 it, without knowin what the whole trip was about. disbelief

I can understand that. I haven't reached that point yet, but it could happen in the future. I am definitely through with Prince though. I still listen to his old stuff, but I've given up on what he's doing now.

Yeah, it'll never be as good as it was in the early days. I do still love the shows though. I'll be seeing him up close and personal at Ozzfest this summer.

The new stuff is just poison to my ears. TRC and Xpectation really confirmed that. I can't believe he would become so lame and bland. I would much rather he retire than to destroy himself this way. Luckily there's still vault stuff that could surface someday.
