As the tributes and attention to his passing fade, and things get back to "normal", it's really starting to hit me that he's gone and there won't be any more newly recorded music. Do you think there would have been anything new in the past 2 months? It's been 6 months since Phase 2, and with his recent burst of activity I think we would have had some new music already. The Piano & A Microphone Live album would probably already be on Tidal (with us complaining about the delay of a physical release) and I wouldn't doubt him dropping one or two new songs like "Free Urself" or "If Eye Could Get Ur Attention". Which would lead us to speculate about Phase 3 that Prince would of course lose interest in before it came out. I'm thinking there would be a totally new album/direction/band by early 2017.

I'm not usually big on 'what if?' threads but that's all we have now. I like to think about what he'd be doing presently because I just can't resign him solely to the past. He was too vibrant for that.

Probably "Black is the New Black."

Do we know what the last song he recorded was? What he was working on? I would guess a lot of that last week was spent rehearsing on the piano but I wonder if he laid anything down?
