I remember Controversy folding right after I joined. The way it always turns out with me and fanclubs/zines...

I would suspect Mr Dawson has gone back to his former trade , there are many opportunities to rip people off.
If he does still like Prince and reads this -
CHRIS DAWSON YOU OWE ME £60.

Now running a carpet cleaning business in Bournemouth.

Was the mysterious person behind "The Truth" magazine which coincidentally also ripped off several fans after only a couple of issues of the subscriptions.

Easy to track down these days. Whenever there's a L4OA stand at the London record fairs (around every 6 months), go along and see if you recognise the man behind the stand taking every gullible f***rs money yet again !!!

If Dawson owes you only £60 you got off lightly !!!

Yes!!!

I have all my magazines, and don't intend to give them up. Great pictures, reviews, news, fan name mentions, and it was of quality/substance.

The conventions that came as a result of Eileen's efforts made lifelong special friends for me... they know who they are. wink

Ah, those were the days... I wish Eileen well. hug to her.

Prince may be the purple Yoda, but Wendy & Lisa and Eric Leeds also sit on the Jedi Council.
