Prince encounters with "regular people"! Found this site from an article today on TwinCities.com. It gathers together a whole bunch of people's stories of meeting Prince. Are they true? Who knows? But they're fun (and that one about Prince in 1992 hanging out in some girl's studio apartment... I hope that really happened!):

Those were fun to read! I liked the DJ story. His anxiety was palpable.

That songlist is interesting. And so many people on Youtube mention that the Prince story took them there. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

That story of the two girls who pretended they were a couple to get his attention then he went to their apartement - and as he leaves says "its a farce" - not sure what to make of that one, sounded a little creepy....... Thank you Prince for every note you left behind 💜

Love this! It would have been cool being one of the three girls in the studio apartment! Sounds like fun memories for them.

A mpls columnist's encounter from many years earlier when he was still in college. Can't remember if I've posted it before but I got a good chuckle out of it! [Edited 7/9/16 11:16am] It's a hurtful place, the world, in and of itself. We don't need to add to it. We all need one another. ~ PRN

Cool stories. I used to pray that one day I'd meet him....it wasn't meant to be, at least not here on earth.

I used to work with a woman that was from Minneapolis and she told a story of having Prince's car towed from a movie theater once. Apparently he and what amounted to his entourage at the time were going to see "Staying Alive". That would have been 1983. No idea if it's true but I don't see why she'd lie about it. She was a fan. He got all hot and bothered for nothing.

That story cracked me up -- mainly the image of Prince wandering around some sad little studio apartment, looking with disdain at the busted futon -- and offering to buy a regular bed because I'm sure he imagined he might be spending some time on it! [Edited 7/9/16 17:39pm]
