My Proud Prince Fan Moment Of The Day

While enjoying my family and friends at our cookout at my house. My 4 year old grandson pulled out one of his drums and started singing. He started with Uptown Funky Walk (yes, that's what he says the name of the song is and he learned it from the most recent Alvin and The Chipmunks movie). My favorite Uncle who is the elder of our family, asked him what other songs does he know and he began singing the Teenage Mutant Ninga Turtle song.

Then my Uncle who I knew was hoping he could get him to hit us with something, anything from Motown asked, "What song can you sing that isn't from a movie?" And MY grandbaby said, "I can sing a Prince song!" Which of course grabbed my complete attention because I've never heard him sing a Prince song before. So I cut my Uncle off before he could say anything else and asked, "What Prince song can you sing?" He grinned at me and started belting out just as big and bold as he pleased...

Wait...For...It...

"My name is Prince and I am funky. My name is Prince the one and only."

That's the only part he knew so he kept singing it over and over but y'all know damn well that was enough to get me straight up off my feet going...

Because the ONLY time and place he could have EVER heard that song is when he's been at MY house! touched

I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

luvgirl	So sweet! Prince would be proud. I've been playing Prince non stop in my car now. Can barely listen to anything else) and I've notice that my 15 year old son who always has his head phones on listening to Japanese music (that's his thing) keeps it off now... I asked him what was his favorite Prince song and he said "Take Me With U" which is one of my favorite. I wanted to bawl!
