Your "missing Prince" song

What song in particular describes best how much you have missed Prince?

Mine is "Empty Room", in particular the live version in Swizerland.

It is so sad, yet powerful, and perfectly describes that emptiness he has left us with. But there is also a glimmer of hope in the song, at the end when he sings :

"What's the use in cryin'?
I gotta find a way, find a way 2 fill this empty room"

So what is the song that best reflects how you have felt since Prince has gone?

many of them, but moreso his interviews and seeing new and old footage. In some ways I understand him better than ever, prince was a genius and for all his faults, he could see things we couldn't.

Oddly enough, its not a Prince song. Others songs make me miss him more. I guess i equate anyone singing about loss to Prince, because he was my world musically.
Don McLeans "Vincent (starry starry night)" is like a punch to my heart. Those lyrics. Ugh. Written about Vincent Van Gogh, it could have been written for Prince. Ive included some of the lyrics as my sig.
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

"Here" When he says "I just don't want you here. I just don't want you near me cuz I'm scared I'll cry I love you like crazy" but ends with "I just want you here I just want u near me"

Those lines pretty much sums it up for me. I don't want to think about him because all I do is cry when I do and I have to move on, but in the end what I really want is him here.

As of late it's been The Most Beautiful Girl in The World. I don't think of it in the literal sense, but more in terms of him and who he is to me. The line "Cause after you all one can do is die" sums it up. I find it ironic, just the way he speaks of her presence and beauty (has got no reason 2 ever be shy; this kind of beauty is the kind that comes from inside) seems to be a reflection of my own feelings.

"I could bow, and feel proud in the light of this power" That line speaks volumes. It all explains so much.

Something about the guitar on that song

In the lunchroom today at work I had some of the lyrics from "Last December" going through my head. I've looked up more of them now.

"Did you give all you had? Were you just somewhere in the middle? Not too good, not too bad?"

I think Prince is holding out hope there that God won't hold us to an impossibly high standard.

I keep going back to The Love We Make from Montreux 2013 when I really miss him. He was so happy, doing little bounces on the bench, smiling at the audience. I think I could watch him nonstop in that video if I didn't have other things to do.

But Sometimes it snows in April and June get me crying every time.

Especially now that it IS June.

Also, Wherever You Go, Whatever You Do is in the back of my head a lot lately. Aggravatingly enough, I no longer have the Rave cd as it got detroyed in a move a few years back, and I haven't been able to replace it.

Funny, for me it seems I keep going to his positive, upbeat songs.

Prince w/ Macy Gray doing Take Me With U/I Try. Had this recording for years, but after he passed, it took on new meaning. Heart-piercing yet heart-healing powers in that performance.

I try to say goodbye and I choke
Try to walk away and I stumble
Though I try to hide it, it's clear
My world crumbles when you are not here
Goodbye and I choke
I try to walk away and I stumble
Though I try to hide it, it's clear
My world crumbles when you are not here

I mean, damn. Goodnight, friend.
