Prince is home

It occurred to me on my way home for lunch that Prince is finally home and therefore the purple lights should stay on at PP. I pass an office building that has a similar windowed structure at the roof's peak. I think he'd want it that way. angel

Paisley Park is still lit purple at night, don't worry. I don't have a picture but I have no reason to lie about that. EDIT: I do have a pic. I'll share it when I get off work and I'm not on mobile. biggrin

I worry about what will happen to the Park now. I see it becoming run down and abandoned or repurposed for something that Prince would not have wanted. There is no one trustworthy to take control of it.

No, PP is safe. The cities of Minneapolis and Chanhassen, as well as the State of Minnesota, will make sure it's taken care of. Too much pride involved.

That's what he wanted and that's what he will get.

hopefully it's secure, there are always always always people who will steall shit, hell, he said he had a lot of shit stolen when he was alive. It's on my mind a lot right now because where I'm working things are turning up missing and there's only 5 guys. also, i don't know about the rest of you but it broke my heart hearing how P's cherished vault was drilled into, I guess the stuff'll be safe but I would think his ghost would be railing.

Took this pic of Paisley Park the night of the 22nd. Purple! My apologies it's not closer up or clearer, but it gets my point across.

And I doubt Paisley is in any shape to be robbed, at least from any old Joe on the street. Every time I've been there, even at 10pm when I took that picture, there have been police present.

I feel the same, I would like to fly from Australia to there but without him in it I feel it is just a shell - but that is just how I feel now, in the future I may feel different.....

Thank you Prince for every note you left behind 💜

nod It was very fitting that rainbow appeared over PP right after his passing. That was pretty comforting yet heartbreaking in a way.

if i were a billionaire, i'd try to buy the place from whoever gets it. I'd move in myself. In fact, I was joking with my brother that my dream was to build a studio within visibility of Paisley Park, he thought I was nuts and I guess I am. Prince really did mean a lot to me. In some ways, I feel like I understand him in ways no one else can, being an artist/musician/outsider. well, it was a nice dream, he's gone now though.

I feel ya. And while it's hard to know his physical self isn't here he isn't really gone. Just think of how lucky we all are to have all the recordings, photos, & videos of him. I know it doesn't help much, but it is a small comfort. Think if we all lived during the 1800's or whenever we wouldn't have all the documentation and no one would know the wonderful man the world knows simply as Prince. He was the 1st person to make me really appreciate living life in the time I am. Watching him on TV in the 80's and all the times there after...it's such a wonderful feeling knowing I lived thru that. Smile knowing what he's done for U in Ur life. It might be cheesey to say but Paisley Park really is in Ur heart.

This is nice to see. I'm glad they keep the lights on for him. I'm 100000% certain his spirit resides in there right now cool

It's still lit up. And there are beautiful dark purple flowers a bloom at the front entrance. And security personnel have still been posted there 24/7. Not police. It's a private security company from what I saw the last couple times I was there.

If I were rich enough I'd buy it too and run it how he wanted it run, as a working studio or museum. I don't think I could live there though...

I'm worried about the mural at the Chanhassen movie theater. You know some idiot is going to vandalize it. It's only a matter of time.

This is so beautiful. I'm so glad they light it up in his honor each night. I hope they continue to do this for years and years and years to come. I'm of the hope that they turn PP into a museum. If they do turn it into a museum, I am SO THERE. I never went to a concert or met the Purple one, so being able to visit Paisley Park would be my way of connecting with him, as I couldn't during his lifetime. And for those who have been talking about his spirit residing in PP, or the vault being touched... I'm ABSOLUTELY sure that his spirit has been inside PP within the past few months. And if anyone touched his vault that shouldn't have, I'm sure he's made his presence known to them!

"We had fun, didn't we?"
