some people happen 2 really DIG his current music. It shows maturity, depth and true musicianship.

I just love that line!! I LOL everytime I hear it! And it shows that Prince is aware of how some people might be more in love with his earlier musical styles. He even makes it funny - I mean WOW how many artists do something like that! I love all Prince's music. He's just way too phenomenal! Fair enough some people might complain about the religious lyrics, but I don't hear too many people saying "Gee, I wish he would put out more albums like NPS and Rave!"
So I think in general, most people are happy with Prince's new direction. IMO, TRC, One Nite Alone (studio) and Xpectation are three high class albums. ONA Live was a little dissapointing cause I wanted MORE new stuff! Toejam @ Peach & Black Podcast: http://peachandblack.podbean.com
