StopIt

The question was "Do YOU FEEL like YOU NEVER really knew him?"

No.

WHY are people responding to what "WE" knew or felt?

I Love that he kept any matter(s) from full-on public/press/fanatic/fam/family/wifey/girlfriend/crack whore booty call/friend/bandmate/lawyer/agent/manager/fellow celebrity/litter-box-cleaner/guitar collection maintenance person/secret costume designer/snow shoveler/ sorta vegan chef/ & many half-siblings'-kids, or whomever(s') disclosures how/when/where he opted to try to limit such things.

Has anyone ever heard the tune "Simple Gifts" ?

His exceptional gifts, that he Did willingly pay an extraordinary price to bring forth (Any Way you slice it) will survive all.

Acutely painful still, but rest easy friends. This was always clear.

I only knew OF him through his music, interviews and performances. I wish I KNEW him...by the way I miss him, it sure feels like I did.

As far as the physical addiction to medications - in my heart of hearts, I think it snuck up

on him. I think by the time he even realized he had a 'problem', it was too late. I do not

think this was a years long problem. Honestly, I think his own death - gawd it hurts to say that word -

was a surprise to him. I think he wanted to take care of the pain, so he took something for it - just as he had done times before - and it was too much. For some reason, this time was just too much.

Yes, I wish I knew him. I am sure many of us feel that way. He is missed beyond words. Peace and love.

The way I hold Prince in my heart has never, will never change. He is a light...even still, an inspiration and a musical genius. He has taught us many lessons and continues to teach us lessons, even now. He was something TRULY special.
