Maurice Phillips & Sheila E indicate that Paisley Park will become a museum. What would you like to see?
How about a karaoke recording booth where you can record a vocal track at Paisley Park with Prince playing the instuments. What a take home gift that would be. .

Everything you have said as long as they can keep it running. There is a aside of me though that thinks they should try and keep it as a recording studio with acts playing there on his stages. I think prince would probably prefer it to be still a working studio. Anyhow, whatever they do, just keep it under princes name.

After my mild panic attack that it would be bulldozed over, I'm perfectly cool with it.

was lucky enough to go to the very 1st celebration & it was done fantastically well. We had so much access, a great tour guide who gave us so much info etc. A great idea indeed...perhpas make it seasonal like Buckingham Palace & keep it running as a commercial enterprise for the rest of the year? Would love to see a music school set up in there too...a truly fitting legacy.

The fact that Prince had been making plans to turn Paisley Park into a museum only lends more credence to the idea that something aside from taking pain killers was going on with Prince. I'm happy that Paisley Park will be open to fans someday soon😄

Would love to see his outfits since he went through so many different looks; I wonder if he kept them all. "Just like the sun, the Rainbow Children rise."

I love your ideas, especially it being VERY interactive. Push the envelope like he tended to do.
This is where it would make great sense to have holograms and interactive video/audio equipment and dance rooms, etc. (Make videos with Prince behind you or next to you. Have replicas of some of his best known outfits available for people to take pictures in or make videos in.) Recreate the most popular stage sets, etc. Maybe even put a roller rink and/or pingpong tables in there. Put a small cafe in there that serves pancakes and spaghetti (separately, of course).
I think the place would be a blast and a great tribute, and make some money for charity if (and I hope it is) one of the main missions of the museum.
I don't know if ex-band members would work there (vetted, funny), but maybe older less busy ex-sound engineers, Paisley Park employees, etc. But, then again, maybe they would, with all of the outpouring of love they're showing now, they may be down! [Edited 4/25/16 7:53am]

I think it would be great to have some where to go to be close to Prince. As long as its done in a classy non tacky way which I am sure it will be. Would it be cool to have a Prince festival there every year? Regular dance parties etc.

I'm still hurting and grieving over Prince's dying, this is just too much for me to deal with now, or even think about.

I think this is a great idea. To me, however, the biggest issue with any public or semi-public use of Paisley Park would be the issue of transportation. For those of us without cars, Chanhassen is not easy to get to and AFAIK none of the current light rail expansion plans include Chanhassen. (And in the winter, nobody from out of town would want to walk from a bus stop or train platform anyhow.) But if you could purchase package plans that include some type of shuttle from downtown Minneapolis to PP, that would be fantastic. And I see all of your creations as one perfect complex

I think a combination would be cool. Since Paisley Park was also a place were people actually performed, having shows "especially" by associate artists would be wonderful
Maybe even on anniversaries of his movies, for fans to come watch the movies there.

You mean no Prince carosel with his different motorcycles to sit on for the kids?

That is perfect, they should also have a room that is playing his music and videos all day every day, with the ability for fans to intervene and pick whatever they want from a sweet touchscreen displaying all his works. I don't know how expensive holograms are so not sure if it could be done, but I would love to have holograms of differnt eras of Prince--- Come era hologram doing those songs, Parade era (suspenders and ties and tailored suits) doing those songs--- It would be amazing for the younger people who didn't get to see those eras in concert. If they could have hologram concerts at PP I would go to every one.

I'd like to see low-income kids who never get to go anywhere shuttled out there for music "college", ping pong and vegetarian meals.
I'd like to see a knowledge room for those who want to further their spiritual journey in the same place Prince furthered his.
I'd like to see it be a site for retreats for those who are the best and brightest in the black community to come together to think about the 'state of the black union' and what can be done to improve things for those who are marginalized
but not just that - it needs to truly be a paisley park - a place where people across cultures can feel at home, can be creative, can feel part of a family, can learn from and with each other

I'd like to see it turned into a museum/school of music and performing arts during the day and a functioning studio/entertainment facility at night. But no one is allowed to use the elevator for that is sacred ground.

Prince had so many beautiful clothes, so I would love to see them on display. I would also love to see all his guitars and maybe a few other personal items like books and photographs.

It worked for Elvis/Graceland right? I would want to see the recording studio and be able to mix tapes from the vault. "I know I hold you too tight, but I just can't seem to get close enough."

I had hoped that it would continue as a working production facility, and as a venue for live music. Turning the place where he died into a tourist attraction, feels like dancing on his grave. Sell the property to a huge media company like Sony or even bloody Warner Bros. as a facility for movie/TV/music production. I'd be sad to see it turned into a cross between Disneyland and Tutenkhamen's tomb. I think it's in really poor taste actually. What would benefit the local economy more? How much tourism would Minneapolis expect to create if it becomes a Prince shrine? It's the mid-west, not Memphis. The climate is different for a start. I'm not saying that people don't travel to Minnesota for leisure purposes, but I doubt it has the same pull as Tennessee. Elvis fans traveling to Graceland will have other attractions to visit in Memphis. What other attractions are there in Chanhassen? Would anybody spend more than a day there? http://www.ci.chanhassen....spx?NID=31 I'm not putting down the town. Prince loved the place precisely because it's quiet. Let Paisley Park become a mid-west hub of creativity. Allow it to continue as it was. Let it live. Don't embalm the place and create a maze of velvet rope within its innards. The thought of people wearing Prince t-shirts on a guided tour of the studios and living quarters actually upsets me.

Well, just Googling Sheila in the news, she's been full of opinions since just a few days ago. Sheila doesn't think the vault should be released. Sheila wants to turn Paisley Park into Princeyland. Sheila knew Prince's exact health situation prior to his passing. Is she communicating with Prince via a Ouija board???

. . . and they can recreate the Lovesexy stage with the swings and basketball hoop for the kids to play on, like a Jungle Jim.
. . . And a bouncy thing with inflatable speakers that the youngsters can jump off of

I can't get my head around the idea of a museum right now. I quite like the idea of maybe some sort of memorial in central Minneapolis? Say a statue (not necessarily of Prince, it could be doves, or the symbol or whatever). Perhaps in a small park area or something, just somewhere where people could go to pay their respects. On the other hand, maybe that would turn into some sort of weird shrine, I don't know, just mulling over some thoughts really.
