Prince on repeat

What is the most number of times you have repeated listening to the same Prince song back to back?
I was driving back home from visiting my father for Father's Day (about 30 miles) today and I listened to Housequake 12 times in a row! Each time I was listening to a different aspect of the song such as the beat, keyboards, layered vocals, etc. Think I might need to go into funk rehab after that session!

I used to do that a lot when I was a kid, listening to 1999 or Purple Rain. I was so enamored with "Let's Go Crazy", and how intricate yet simple of a song it was, that I'd listen to just the bass, or just the guitar, or just the keyboards. I love doing that, when I can focus enough to do it.

idk the number but I'm sure it's high, this is a thing I do from time to time with certain songs I get obsessed with at any given time. Prince song I've done this most recently with was 17 Days

I do this often too. One of my latest repeats is to listen to all the different versions I have of the same song again again. music

Never. First out of practical reasons: I grew up listening to casettes and LPs and then it's kinda hard to repeat a track.
Second, with so much good music out there, I can't imagine why someone would want to listen to the same thing twice. Albums have a certain flow, don't interrupt it. Whenever I listen to an album, no matter how good it is, when it's over, I want to hear something else. When Prince just died, I listened to his music all the time, which is very unusual for me. But that phase is already over. So whenever I read "I have this on repeat"... I just don't get it.

We Can Funk - Joy In Repeatition on GB...they lead into each other so well, just repeating both songs while at work, usually about 4 or 5 times.

Albums - Batman, first Prince album I had on cassette, wasn't even aware that it was by him at first, just loved the songs that were unlike anything else at the time. Never left the cassette player.

Starfish & Coffee - used to always skip the track until I listened to it properly one day, then it was played over and over until I learnt the lyrics by heart. The Muppets Tonight version is one of my most played youtube vids.

This is what it's like in the dream factory...
