I just popped in to comment that, every time I see the title of this thread bubble back up to the top of the main thread page, it makes me laugh out loud.

.

I can only imagine the OP is incredibly young, and is still discovering the amazing universe of music out there. At least, I *hope* that's the case.

Would be nice to be young again, my music tastes are vast, aside from that, I am an accomplished musican, so when it comes to music, I know my shit. Bob Dylan just never did anything for me, so I have ignored him for the past 40 years. I am not denying his impact on the musical landscape, just saying I don't personally care for him.

On top of that, as others pointed out here, neither the INXS 'song' itself, nor Wonderful Ass, have any correlation to the Dylan song folks compared it to. The only similiarties are the video itself, where INXS and Bob use cards with words written on them, which has NOTHING to do with the music.

Laugh all you want, it's common on this forum to 'pop' into a thread, laugh at someone, and ultimately contribute nothing.

I stand by the original post that either INXS heard an outake of Wonderful Ass and copied it, or, as another member here pointed out, Prince added it after he heard INXS's version. I am going with it being the former as the song predates Mediate by a few years.

I have trouble with the theory that Prince added that part after hearing INXS' Mediate. To buy that one you have to believe that Prince would like INXS track so much he pulled what would be an obvious rip. That does not fit his M.O. at all.

That's me laughing at you, not with you. (Sorry)

I take it you're confidently asserting that these songs clearly sound like Subterranean Homesick Blues. Guess what? They don't. Either Prince copped INXS or INXS copped Prince or we have an extremely unlikely coincidence.
