Yes. I wrote it. Something that I haven't been able to do for years but I wanted to honor him in every way I possibly could.

Aww...Thank you so much Kittycat. Like I said in the piece the Purple Pain is real. Everytime I think I've gotten past it, it hits me hard all over again. Just gotta get through it all. So glad it made you smile though.

I just re-read it. . How you mixed his lyrics with your sentiments and passion is delightful. . You have a gift and I hope P can continue to inspire you and all of us. Eventually every cloud runs out of rain.

There's a lot of good reflection here. I notice you also used the term I did in my last posting here on the org "longing for love".
I believe that in addition to what you said in your article, there's also a relating we feel to Prince and others like him. We all are wounded until we come to God spiritually here on earth. Even then we still have to put effort into growth, all the time. We relate to these public people's challenges. As another poster here said, "so much pain in the world." And that's true. Until each one of us works through our own personal stuff, there will be too many people hurting each other, first and foremost parents hurting children, through their own untreated issues, addiction or childhood wounds. BUT: we are going to have a spiritual awakening in our society. This will not be done for us; we must each heal individually. The only time there is ever a change is when there is a tremendous need for one. That stands true for every single societal change there's ever been. Thanks for your thoughtful article.
