I've never heard of them, so I am leaning toward fan-made. Sounds pretty cool, though.

Would love to see them, do you remember what page? (Edit: nevermind - saw 'em on the last page!). I have a pair myself . Don't know if you can still do it, but about ten years ago, a person could get their kicks custom made on Converse's website. Maybe that's how the pair in question were made, dunno.

Yea, just checked the site...you can still customize your kicks if you go to the Converse website.

It's fan made. You can customize a pair of sneakers (I have) just about any way you wish. Someone could have ordered a pair with purple trimmings, etc., then did more work on their own. I've seen a lot of tennis shoes with Prince stuff on them lately, but none are official. (Some are god awful.)

You can customize Nike shoes too. No word on if some 7-year-old Indonesian spends 15 hours a day for a total of making them for you.

I think they look good.

Reminds me of back in the day when dudes would make and sell mixtapes and re-purposed sneaks .
