I've only just heared this and these lyrics struck me:
"What makes a girl of 17 seek comfort in suicide"
It just reminded me so much of Yo Mister which he wrote for Patti LaBelle around the same time and which also deals with a 17 year old girl in trouble. Anybody have any thoughts about these two songs?

Other than the fact he seemed drawn to 17 year old girls, I have no clue.

Hmmm...yeah, don't we all, Chuck Berry wrote, "She looks too cute to be a minute over 17" but that wasn't really what I was looking for.
In Positivity, Prince wrote about a 13 year old boy who had the ?s of life slap him in the face, so there must be more to it!
