The Collector's Box 2 DVD set Last week I received a DVD set called The Collector's Box. Yet another unofficial release through official channels. My humble advice: don't purchase this one. DVD 1 is 'In His Own Words'...a series of tv appearances on various shows. Some of these segments have terrible quality: one of them even looks like it was recorded on video and later transferred to DVD. DVD 2 is 'The Glory Years': some nice recordings but too few to be interesting and nothing we haven't seen before. Some artists are interviewed to give their opinion about Prince. Boring. Beware if you see it: cover is a pic of Prince wearing sun glasses and a red shirt. Probably taken around 2004 - 2005. I already sent a return request to the supplier. I don't want this crap on my shelf 'Liberate My Mind'

Uh, how do you buy something unofficial through official channels? Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Not everything that wasn't approved by Prince is actually a bootleg. Most rights on tv appearances on tv shows of any artist are owned by the networks. They can do with it what they want. It becomes a problem if gaining quick money gets in the way of good taste, like this one. 'Liberate My Mind'

It's so risky. I bought something online and Then read the comments. But it wasn't as bad as I had thought. I recently saw "Naked in the Summertime" cd online for purchase. The release date is for August. Never heard of the label so. .. sceptical. Feelings... that sums it up.

Yep, there's a lot of bad stuff out there just to grab the money out of the Prince's fan pockets. I already returned the 2-DVD set to the supplier. Yesterday I requested the return online, gave up the reason why I returned it and today I went to the post office to send it back. Turns out that the postal costs exceed the total costs of the DVD set. So beware what you buy online. Money grabbers...yuk! 'Liberate My Mind'
