I don't know how to communicate this well, but does anyone feel protected by Prince, either his music, what he himself stood for, or stood up for?

Even though he passed, is there something about Prince that makes your feel comforted and/or protected?

I can't explain it well. There is something about Prince that makes me feel it is ok to be myself. Just the fact that he was here and stood up for his beliefs and didn't follow the crowd. He was truly himself. I get strength from him.

No, I still feel miserable and sad and depressed - far from comforted.

I sleep listening to his music now, so yeah, he is providing comfort for me

He's also been helping me a bit with my personal life and anxiety issues. When I first became a fan I was being bullied at school and his music helped me cope with it and helped me accept my individuality. If it weren't for Prince I wouldn't be who I am today.
