Just saw this from Star Tribune:

Nearly two months after his death, Prince has been awarded an honorary doctoral degree by the University of Minnesota .

President Eric Kaler said the award had been in the works “prior to his untimely death.”

The Board of Regents awarded the music legend, who never went to college, with an honorary doctorate of humane letters Friday.
