FlyOnTheWall said: My conjecture (and that's all it is) is that the family is asking for an expedited disposition on the estate. I read elsewhere that George Lopez had made a loan to some number of Prince's known heirs. Prince had apparently been supporting his siblings and half siblings (or at least some of them). Presumably, with him no longer here to parcel out that support, the family is in dire need. Which is why it would make sense for them to request an expedited disposition.
that would seem to be at least partly the case:

A Minnesota judge has authorized the trust company that's overseeing Prince's estate to hire entertainment industry experts to help manage and preserve the deceased superstar's musical legacy. . . . Eide wrote that he intends for Bremer Trust "to take all prudent steps" to generate money from Prince's intellectual property, to raise funds for administering the estate and for paying estate taxes. So he says the company needs advice from industry experts to make the necessary business decisions.
XxAxX, How does that make it partly the case? I don't see the connection between Bremer's action that you are noting here, and how it equates to a request being made by the family to speed things up because they need money to live on. ?? I'm not seeing the linkage.
And for the third or fourth time I will note, this is the kicker set of actions that per reports, some members of the family wanted a hand in and review time added to the plan, and Bremer argued against this saying it would slow things down.

Eileen - please don't take this the wrong way - i'm not here to argue with you or anyone else. you are free to read and interpret the court documents and news articles just as i am. whatever interpretation you have, please feel free to share. if you disagree with my insights and opinions - too bad
this is not court. we are not at work here. this is a discussion board on a website devoted to prince. again, i don't want to argue/debate.

Accepted, nothing personal. If I forget your name, which I will at some point, and accidentally attempt to dialogue with one of your future monologues, please feel free to remind me or ignore me, whatever works for you.

Very interesting point, XxAxX. It almost seems like following and responding to this thread is work for some. |

at my old law firm we would FOR SURE have had someone monitoring websites and social media in connection with this developing matter. so, i just don't want anyone to take me too seriously here - i'm nothing more than a fan, speculating on prince's death. (which is kind of morbidly gross of me in a way). but, i don't think it rises to the level of arguing over what *might* be going to happen next. |

yes, you did a great job with those links! very informative. i read some of the filings online; the judge will be challenged to quickly resolve this matter, in my sense of things. i really have no idea what will happen next |
