"Mixtape" coolness :) I've been making "mix cds" by decade of some of my favorite songs. Well, on one of the 90s CDs I made, I started it out with Thunder, and when I was listening to it, I kind of had to LOL, because it had a theme of thunder throughout the CD. Somebody's Somebody, The Greatest Romance, and Joint 2 Joint are all on that CD, and all have thunder in the background. Kinda neat considering I didn't try for it.
On one of my 2000's CDs, Musicology goes right into Clouds seamlessly. It's almost like those two tracks were supposed to be together, radio static and all.
Has anyone else made their own mixes and seen cool or surprising results?

I had a remix by Soulwax of I Wanna Be Your Lover, in the very early days of MP3 sharing on the internet. It was a mashup with an Alex Gopher song. Well, in the days of 1GB hard drives, I burned it to a CD-ROM and lost it. It was so good. I love the Dimitri From Paris edit of that song though. Um... I Wanna Be Your Lobster? lol So much talent out there. I mean, people with computers whom aren't musicians, but can still make art. I'm in awe. I really am. It's like street art; aural street art. I tried making a long edit of New Position years ago. It wasn't even that complex, just longer. And it took me nearly a week! Just search SoundCloud for justinionn repositioned and you'll find it.
