I keep misreading the title as "Texas may wipe out half of Prince's estate"... confused

Prince has/had some real estate holdings here in Texas. I'm curious to see if he still owned the ranch in Waller, and if he actually did own a home in Clear Lake.

My mind is on the same track. Tax man you rule!!!

It doesn't bother you that his name and everything he worked so hard to protect will be sold? I know he isn't here anymore but....

He left no will. There will be no single heir. It's all going to be sold off anyway. What heir wants to see their money diminish by keeping a white elephant like Paisley Park running or have the bother of running it as a tourist attraction?

Taxation is theft

Taxation without representation is theft.

No . . quite simply . . taxation is theft

Representation of how I want to spend my money can be administrated on my own. No representation required, no that we have representation anyway. What we have is the illusion of a choice and a farce of representation

seriously, dam government...takes all of our money.

But MN transfer law taxes estates over 5.4 million dollars is like 40%. Wow.

But remember, Prince's inheritances will receive future monies coming in like record sales, the sale of his 16 homes in Minnoesota, his bank account, merchandise, etc.

It' s not just the value of his Paisly Park estate, which I think should be turned into a museum to generate income like Elvis's mansion.

Even if its for short term it will generate income for a while.. The only other alternative would be to auction off everything inside.

I miss him terribly. I wonder if he had a reason not to have a will.

fan for life

It is sadly comical that this thread is still active and so many people have no clue whatsoever about the shit they post.

For those that are are looking for real, common sense information, check out the sticky.
