Temptation and Annie Christian were a bit spooky when I was younger and I found the vibe on Positivity ironically quite negative (references to spooky electric and don't kiss the beast).

That can't be scary it's a Lake Tahoe (I think it's Tahoe) commercial slogan now. Nobody would want to vacation there if that was scary.

This one and Others here with us, Anybody know what year these were recorded? I assume it was recorded back when P was a little off or freaky. smile

all the things he recorded when he was a little "off" or freaky. I sometimes wonder about some things. I find his borderline blasphemy to be more than disturbing. And some of it isn't borderline. Makes me wonder what he and his "family" were really into...as obviously they were masters of disguise. Right? Or wrong? Anyone agree? I find everything he does disturbing, because I'm never quite sure what I'm really looking at. As is the case with a lot of his Tidal friends, etc.

"Disturbing"?!
I always felt it was quite beautiful.
Lovely song.

Love this one. Really creeped me out the first time I heard it which was after he passed and I don't know but I swear I felt those others there with me.

I can't find this or Solo and the others mentioned online. Tried to sign for myspace cause they said they have it and it doesn't move.

admission is easy, just say U believe, then come 2 this place in your heart.

When I was a child all those scared me too, but I love them now, of course. Annie Christian still has something uncanny about it though...
If I'd heard Others Here With Us back then, I probably wouldn't have been able to sleep with the lights off ever again!

This might be a little strange, but I would pick If I Was Your Girlfriend.

The first time I heard it - and I had been a fan for quite a while before I got SOTT because I wanted to anticipate it - the hairs on the back of my neck stood up and I remember thinking there was something wrong. It's a totally thoughful track and it makes a solid statement, but it feels so obsessive it is very unnerving to me. Great track.

Also to add - it's interesting that he doesn't have a lot of songs I would describe as scary per say, but there is a lot going on subtextually in his music and there is a very deep darkness in many of his tracks.

Sorry for the double post!

I know what you mean. When I first heard the song as a kid by the time he starts talking the last minute of the song, it does take turn for some weird shit by the time he says 'imagine what silence looks like' I was laying in my bed staring at the ceiling in shock, the only other Pribce song that did that was Beautiful Ones. If I Was Your Girlfriend is some haunting shit.
