"Prince. The beautiful death of the beautiful one" Article

https://medium.com/@Spielberg1/prince-the-beautiful-death-of-the-beautiful-one-8d549abd7f01#.ec50xm8l1

"

Some people think it’s sad how Prince died. But I think it was beautiful.

In his last 7 earthbound days, Prince did three of the things he loved most… He played a concert. With just a piano, a microphone, his voice and soul. His songs stripped down to their very essence. He spoke of his father teaching him piano. He even had to leave the stage for a moment, explaining “Sometimes I forget how emotional these songs are.”"

*

I think this is beautifully written.

Thanks for posting, that was very nice, and a nice way to look at it.

I so agree with the statement that one can be alone and not lonely....

It's a different perspective, makes a change from all the worrying, wondering, speculating. It is what it is. Viewed from this perspetive, it's a beautiful exit indeed.

What song had him emotionally overwhelmed? I still have to hear that last concert.

At the 7 pm show, it was "Case Of U" when he exited briefly, then returned and made the comment about sometimes forgetting how emotional the songs are. Not sure if this reoccurred at the 10 pm show, so if you have audio for that show, I don't believe he makes that comment then.

Thank you for sharing. This was so beautifully written. Reading it provided me calmness and peace. I have been struggling with how to process his passing.

You are welcome. I thought I'd share it cause it really brought peace and serenity to me, in such a painful time.
Regardless of whatever happens in the future, of all the speculation and facts that might reveal themselves to us or not, nothing will ever change the fact that he is gone. We benefit greatly from looking at it this way: Prince did what he loved right up until the end, whilst feeling loved, and finally transcended in the privacy and solitude of his own home. <3

Thanks for posting that link. Although, I don't think of Prince as "gone". I prefer to think of him as somewhere in another dimension of our space that we can't see or access until we transition.

Wonderful, thank you very much for that! It's so true and anything beyond that is really not important anymore. Puts the situation beautifully into perspective.

That was good. It still brought heaviness back into my heart, but I like the sentiment that death is a private moment. I'm sure that's exactly how he would've wanted it.

The "Sometimes I forget how music..." comment has happened at least twice during the Piano and a Microphone tour. Early in the tour, he said it -- can't remember what he was performing.

Thank you so much for posting, what a beautiful way of looking at those last hours. Brings a comfort to the very real issue of being alone at death and despite making me heartsore in places, it was somehow uplifting too... Thanks again MMJas.
