I went, and to be honest, didn't think it was all that great at the time. But it was abit strange where i was sat because i was further back than i was expecting, and the stewards tried to throw this oldish woman out of the arena for taking pictures in the row in front of me. Just right in the middle of his piano set near the end. The whole concert seemed rushed, and Prince and the band started playing a song and then quickly pulled the plug on it. This happened a couple of times. I think Dreamer was one of the songs, which was a disappointment for me as i love that song, and how he normally kills it live. I had been spoilt though, by attending the Manchester academy show earlier that year which was a far better show. There was some great moments though, Nothing Compares to U, Purple Rain, and Sometimes it Snows In April at the end , were great. Also The Beautiful ones in full at the piano was amazing, but that's when the old lady was being thrown out. ( they couldn't get her out in the end)

Yep. I enjoyed it plenty. I might well have seen better shows by him but on this occasion, My proximity to the stage might have helped. He was as close to me as my TV is in my living room right now. Those two blocks he came out on either side of the stage, i was right in front of the left hand one (as you looked at the stage). Plenty of moments soloing up above me. Those moments people talk about, When you can see the light reflecting in his eyes and when you could swear he was looking and pointing at you whilst you were freaking out? I got that vibe.
