My Top Played Prince Track - According to ITunes "Clouds"
Pleasantly surprised my top played is a 2010's track. He lost me in the 90s, early 2000s.

. I deleted the Top 25 playlist, but "Automatic", "Call My Name", or "She's Always in My Hair" would have to be at the top. Also "How Come You Don't Call Me Anymore". All oldies but goodies. I guess the plays can only remain so long, or maybe it's getting a new computer a while back

Before I checked I tried to guess what it would be and I guessed Let's Work or Lady Cab Driver. I listen to those a lot. Imagine my surprise when I see that my most played song is the live version of Fury from the brit awards with 121 plays with the most recent play being 3 years ago. 7 of the top 10 most played songs are Prince songs but neither Let's Work or Lady Cab Driver are among them. The only Prince song in my Top 25 at work (which is where I am now) is North. That is because I listen to a lot of classical (songs without words are more conducive to writing) and because North is the first track on my most often listened to instrumental album by Prince. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves. | |

Mine play counts are very screwed up. They are really high for some songs that you wouldn't expect, because I have a tendency to test repeatedly how one song flows to the next when making a playlist. I'll test the songs many times in many positions in the running order by seeing how the beginnings and ends line up. So my iTunes play counts are meaninglessly inflated for a lot of tracks. | |
