Bunsterdk	That video is enough to work up a white sweat too, lemme tell ya.. Someone asked when he was the sexiest. I still go with Montreux 2013, absolutely love that outfit on him and everything about in particular him doing The Love We Make. But this video.. Oh dear..

As with all Prince songs, apart from the old commercial hits, black sweat wasn't played once on the radio here in Ireland. Absolutely love this track, slick,funky and Sexy.

All u haters need to recognize, if u cant c right through these lies, good gawd!

CROWNS1	I love this song and the video. Can't imagine why it wasn't more popular. I wonder, if Prince was just starting out today with the same music, would he have been as popular? Am I just getting too old and don't see that music has taken turns that make his songs not as desirable in the mainstream as they once were?

MTV2 used to play it a lot. I remember being able to see it almost every single day right when I came home from school. As good as a song as it was even if it was a bigger hit it wouldn't have lasted with the Beyonce mania that happened that year.

I sure wish it would have been a bigger hit but even I felt that this song was lacking and just chasing trends at the time of its release. Plus the loud screeching synth throughout the song made it hard to listen to IMO

emesem	Great tune. Should have been a hit but he ruined it himself with the high-pitch sinewave sound. Its really painful if you are under 50 or otherwise still have your high frequency receptors intact.

This was Prince's last hot 100 hit (not counting the recharging on songs a few weeks ago)

It spent one week at #60 due to initial digital sales.

One of my favs from that decade.

Camille2016	Always liked this song from an album I didn't pay enough attention to back in the day. I didn't get to see the official video until April 25th this year. Superb video. I note it was also nominated for a Grammy.

I remember hardly hearing this song on even the adult R&B stations. It had so much hit potential, but poor promotion. One of my top Prince songs of the 00's

No, initial PHYSICAL sales. It wasn't eligible in I tunes. And it still isn't
