Some of you people are fucking insane! Like seriously? Get over yourselves. Personal feelings about someone or a family aside, why is it SO surprising who Prince's friends were? They were both in the same industry, why is it so unbelievable that they may have known each other and been friendly? There has been a consistent questioning of who could have possibly actually been friends with him. Seriously? None of us knew that he had a painkiller problem. You know why? Cause it was none of our business. Just like who Prince spoke to that night was none of our business and has only become public because he's gone.

THIS. These females are wrecking my brains with this nonsense. I mean, wtf, Prince was a Grown Ass Man. He did what he pleased, and didn't need their approval for his social life. Get a life, girls, he wasn't your man and he wasn't your child. Grow up and stop acting like teenage girls.

I really feel like folks on here only think that certain "high level" band mates/associates and celebs of a certain "type" could have only been his friends. And anyone outside of those parameters is obviously lying and making things up for attention. The FUCK? Who does that? GTFOH. Prince was a dynamic person, isn't that why we love him? Makes sense for him to have a WIDE range of friends/people he communicated with. Folks are really debating the validity of a friggin PHONE CALL? Not that I should even have to explain this to a bunch of (mostly) adults. Seems like some folks here don't get out much.

Well, there was a lot of telephone calls going on in CA on the 20th. It would be interesting if the alleged call was connected to Phaedra Ellis-Lamkins who reached out to Dr. Kornfeld. While Prince associates contacted her it's still unknown who she may have reached out to before contacting Dr. Kornfeld. Not saying it was Will, but would be interesting if he knows anything.

Because you're all behaving like irrational little girls, male AND female. It has nothing to do with misogyny, and everything to do with loathing your immaturity and stupidity. Grow the hell up, little girl, and grow a pair. If you don't want me to look at you like you're a bratty, irrational little girl -- face it, this behavior is typical of little girls -- then stop behaving like one. And for the record, I am female, which is why I recognize bratty little girl behavior.

And yeah, I edited this shit to articulate better than I had before. Because as much as I'd like to, it's still immature to be like, "Shut up, bitches" even when that's what I'm thinking. Anyway, I think this is another thread I am done with, because oh my god, there are better thing to do than worry about you little brats. I mean, seriously, why the heck do you care if he talked to Will Smith or not? Will Smith didn't kill him through the phone, so knock that shit off.

Because you're acting like little girls. It's typical little girl behavior -- cuephone, child, I'm female. And I don't care whether the poster is male or female, you're actin like stupid little BITCHES, which is what I was trying to avoid saying before. But, nope, I'm tired of avoiding it and trying to respect bitches who obviously can't be assed to act like adults. SO. STOP BEING STUPID, BITCHES. Male AND female.

Exactly! Acting like a bitch is an equal opporunity affliction. Let's be clear - when you say "you're" you are not speaking to me because I haven't made any comment of a sort. And, cluephone, you don't have to be a male to be misogynistic.

Singing a song about flipping one's hair and popping up at snobby fashion shows does not really signal a career. I doubt that Will Smith talked to Prince on that fateful night. Prince was last seen in public at about 7:30pm that night. Prince apparently passed away between the hours of 9pm to 11pm that night. Prince was probably more concerned with getting a visit from the pain doctor rather than talking with an overrated ex-rapper with 2 butt ugly kids and a wife who will not shut the fuck up. Prince did not talk to Will Smith. Will Smith just wanted some attention and a bit of the spotlight during a bad zituation. Case Closed.

True, and many people in hip hop likened themselves to kings and queens, princes, and princesses. Braggadocio. There was Prince Marky D in The Fat Boys, and one of Queen Latifah's first rap songs was Princess of The Posse.

Where to start with this section of your post...

1. Many males wear kilts. What's the problem?
2. Even if his son wanted to wear a skirt, what's the problem?
3. How did you go from Jaden "wearking kilts" to ""gay people"? What's the link/point you're making?
4. Evidence/quote/article please where you've heard Jaden "wants to cut his penis off".
5. "Now there is nothing wrong with gay people or anyone in the lgbt community". We know and they know there's nothing "wrong". But do you? Really? You can admit on here if you don't like/are afraid of the LGBT community. You're only behind a screen after all. You're entitled to your thoughts but I'd be careful of your opinions. There are laws after all.

You mentioned "hate" before. Relax. They are a family that are causing you no harm. Perhaps don't click on any articles about them, or listen to their music or follow Jaden's fashion trends. If you do that your blood pressure might drop. Focus on YOUR life. How are you contributing towards other people's happiness? They are. It might not be mine or yours but certainly is thousands of people.

And on one final note, you must be a Prince fan to be on here, so how can you judge Jaden's fashion when Prince was experiental/creative/free himself?

AND now let's bring it back to the OP's discussion. IMO I'm glad Prince spoke with Will Smith. I hope they shared some wise words. Will Smith is a smart man...

THIS! Thank you. Our boy wore more makeup than the average woman, was always perfectly coiffed and wore some very questionable (to some) and feminine attire. Don't even start judging man.

It's going to drive out the sane fans and leave this place a wasteland of conspiracy, nonsense, and hate. I mean seriously? Clearly I was a bit mean in my previous post but at least I was honest.

Maybe i was a bit harsh but i only said what everyone else was probably thinking. Jada will speak out against a stupid award ceremony but wont make any statements about all these black babies being murdered in this country. If you have a platform like Jada has and you choose to talk about a dumb statue instead of 12 year old kids getting murdered in the street and the fact that these kids are getting zero justice, you deserve no respect. If you had a friend like tupac and you were so close to him, something about his rebellion would have rubbed off on you and you would be awoke and speaking out on black issues. Hollywood has never really given any minorities their props and it is very rare that blacks in general are portrayed positively in film so why speak out about that? Hollywood has been racist since "birth of a nation" and no amount of ranting in a video is going to change it anytime soon. If Jada wanted to talk about issues that are actually important to black people, then do it! Voice your anger about Tamir Rice and Mike Brown and Eric Garner and Trayvon Martin and Reneisha Mcbride and whoever else has been murdered cause they were born black! Voice your anger about how those people will never get any justice cause their murderers are still walking the streets. Voice your anger about the fact that black folks are killing up each other in chicago over dumb shit. Voice your anger over the riots that happened in baltimore and ferguson. Voice your anger about the fact that George Zimmerman gloats about killing a 16 year old baby and that this asshole actually tried to sell the gun that he killed him with. No remorse in his heart for murdering that child like a dog in the street. Those are the issues that black people are dealing with. We do not care about some dumb fucking ceremony in a town that fights like hell to not acknowledge minorities or greenlit our films. Nobody is going to symphatize with Jada about not having a trophy when there are tons of other issues in the black community to be angry about.

As for the comment about the kids, i was wrong. Yes the kids are butt ugly but nobody is supposed to admit that in public so i am going to keep that one to myself. I am sorry for admitting the truth. Its just that those kids make truly weird people look normal. The boy is wearing kilts and wants to cut his penis off. The boy likes wearing dresses. Now there is nothing wrong with gay people or anyone in the lgbt community but Jaden's fashion sense is really terrible. I have seen better dresses in the $3 bin at the thrift store. If you are rich and you are obsessed with fashion, hire a stylist to guide you with that. Now as for the films, no just no! I am sure that Jaden has some talent but it is not within this realm of existence and it will not be without years of acting classes and vodka. If your films keep flopping and you keep winning razzies, retire with dignity. The acting bug is not hereditary for some people and I am sure that Jaden is a good boy but no more movies please. Some of us are still wondering who greenlit the piece of shit that was "pursuit of happyness" but i digress. I know I am harsh but somebody has to be.

As for the girl. nothing much to say there. "Whip My Hair" was never going to win any grammys and it was a very blah song. I try my best to avoid newer pop music as it does nada for me. Music is supposed to have a strong message in it and there is nothing empowering or uplifting about flipping one's hair.

I do not hate anyone. I juat do not really care for the smith family. Will Smith is extremely overrated and people act like he is the only black actor in hollywood. Newsflash, there are tons of black actors in hollywood and almost all of them can turn in a better performance than big willy. If Will is lying about talking to Prince on that fateful night, he is an asshole who really needs to be ashamed of himself. Dont use a man's death to prop yourself up and get attention from the media cause that is not cool.

It's cool. I feel like that about Mayte... who is living in the fucking past and unable to progress in life with her crazy ass

If hey did speak perhaps it was to enlist his help with the addiction specialist doc or something. That's aout out the time they have reported people from prince's camp making frantic calls to the west coast, etc. It's not unthinkable the smith's would have some personal insight or advice about such things. P.s. I like the smiths. I think will is funny and cute, Jada is too. Their kids should be off limits.

Doesn't the Crystal Ball CD booklet make reference to other people using the name "Prince"? In referrence to the song "What's my name"?

While I have no evidence at all, I'd always assumed this was directed at the "Fresh Prince"

Since when are we privy to any conversation Prince had with his friends?

He also spoke with Dez before he died. Many of his friends called him including the woman on the Today show (what's her name Tamron?) to check on how he was doing after hearing about the plane landing and Prince ending up in the hospital. They were all concerned about him.

Dez said he will never reveal to anyone what his last conversation with Prince was about so, his friends do value his privacy.

This will probably sound crazy to you, but about 15 years ago someone I did business with closed his company. He was a lovely man, and I missed him very much. One day several months later, he called me, just to talk. He thought he would pick up the phone to chat. He died the next day. I then learned he had been at the hospital the day he called me, and that he had called another company he did business with around the time he called me - just to chat. This Will Smith call sounded remarkably similar - and I don't even know what they spoke about. I wonder if Prince called anyone else that evening, because he never changed his clothes - except to remove his shoes - after going home from Walgreen's.

i'm glad prince spoke to a friend before he passed. it cheers me a little to think that he did so. rose

i don't understand the general negativity toward the will smith family. he's quite brilliant and in their individual ways they're all quite groovy. each one is gorgeous, talented and smart.

i feel sorry for willow and jaden, taking all the heat from the paparazzholes. they're just kids still. they should feel free to do and wear what they want without negative feedback from a distant public
