It was clear to see Prince had a HUGE thing with the ladies. He resonated because he wasn't afraid to say 'I know you women like sex too, and I know how you want to be approached and adored, not just penetrated.' Every Prince song was foreplay. If there is one thing in this world he did understand, it was how a woman wants to be taken to bed and everything that leads up to it.

That is profound! Yes as a woman I can agree with this. I think you hit the nail on the head with that one! Prince just understood women.

Yes, definitely. Prince even talked about it himself at one of the Indigo after shows in '07. It's on the Indigo Nights CD isn't it? Saying how he used to hang around wiht the cute dudes so any woman they didn't want he could try his luck with. But they still weren't interested. But now, he can't even go outside no more, those days are gone.

Makes me think of the time that Mrs Merton interviewed Debbie McGee. Who? WHO? Yes sorry my American cousins. Debbie McGee was the assistant and then wife for the UK magician Paul Daniels.

Paul Daniels for reference.

I disagree. Not all women are into fame and money. In my experience with Prince, I found that those two actually got in the way. razz As for his past experiences with women, I guess he had a very different style back then, and probably a lot less confidence than when he became famous. That could have played its part too.

That's dude thinking for you though, that ALL women are gold diggers rolleyes they're just mad they can't get models/dancers, meanwhile the women who aren't checking for $/fame aren't the ones they want! It's a vicious cycle of ridiculousness nutty

Don't want to spoil your theory but the reality is that if Prince were working as an usher in a movie theater you and all those other women wouldn't find him sexy.

.

His fame, his cash...suddenly Prince Rogers Nelson became sexy.

Talent is very sexy. His energy, his dancing was too.

Nah, you just can't see it for whatever reason. Prince was STUNNING. I would have been like, "that little usher is fine as hell" batting eyes

I can see it now, prince walking up and down the movie theater aisle with his butt showing thru his usher uniform. Maybe he'd even do the splits when he said...here's your seeeeeaaaaat....and do a spin...bahaha... popcorn

I never said you did. Although you did approve the sweeping statement that Cloreen made about "you and all those other women".

That may be so but that only includes the ones who fancy Prince, which is only a small subset of all women. I fully endorse the sentiment that his money and fame made him more attractive.

I suppose you're right, especially if this only includes those who found Prince attractive mostly because of his fame and money, and not all of those who had noticed that he was a very unique, gifted and talented man.

Stoffa

Men and women both have their annoying ways in how they are attracted to the opposite sex:

- Men aren't very capable of looking past the exterior.

- Women just melt for succesful/wealthy men, and often kind of fail to look past that and end up with an asshole as a result.

So yeah, considering that I don't think Prince had to do too much to become a sex symbol. Let's face it: the guy was a midget and it still didn't matter hehe smile

Prince was also quoted to have said something like "wow that girl would've never been attracted to me earlier" when he got his succes if I recall correctly.

Undoubtedly he had all those qualities and that is part of the package which made him a sex symbol, but that side of him was only displayed to millions due to the fame. If he was an usher in a cinema, sure he'd still have had those personality traits and most definitely someone would have got to know him and loved him. There may well have been other women who found him sexy but he certainly wouldn't be regarded as a sex symbol.

I guess there is a blurry line between fame as the means and fame as the reason to popularity with women... Still there must have been an initial reason for his access to fame, was it perhaps his talent and uniqueness?

this is so dumb. look at how women respond to him/light up around him, in comparison to any other rich/famous dude that's deemed "meh/unattractive" - & there's your answer lol dude was hella sexy, sexual, knew how to seduce, seemed eager to please whoever he might take to bed, was confident, had a killer ass, barely wore clothes, & ALL this was wrapped up tiny which makes it all the more cute! razz women are drawn to men we feel understand us, & whether he just played that up or he truly was in tune with feminine energy (both, me thinks) the shit worked. WELL exclaim

I dunno why the denials make me so nuts lol nutty I guess because it's soooo clear, & you mfs refuse to see it, & it's just odd confused Believe, ghat dammit!!! worship

I'm a man and straight as fuck and to me when he was still here with us Prince was the sexiest man alive! Period.

When I first saw him on the cover of the Dirty Mind album back in the day and later in the Controversy videoclip I thought of him as wildly attractive and his eyes were just unbelievable! And when he became more and more successful his look, style and appearance only got better; always dressed to the 9's: I loved 90% of all his different clothing and hairstyles, I loved how many times even his shoes were a perfect match with the rest of his outfits, his matching symbol and cloud guitars, the way he walked, his deep talking voice, his songs, his musicianship and skills ... yeah he came across as an extremely charismatic almost otherworldly cool & attractive being most of the time so Prince becoming a Sex symbol makes perfect sense.

And don't think for a minute when I was dating back in the day, I used every bit of advise this man had to offer. I'm a little pretty, but not as pretty as he was, so I can tell you, acting on his lead worked every single time. From being confident on the first step, being gentle and caring, and being dirty as hell in a very tactful manner. It all worked. I'd probably still be virgin if it had not been for this guy.

We are all so full of doody here
