Because when your boss tells you to go home, you go home. He wa a grown man. You cannot force a grown man with a sound mind to accept you in his house when he doesn't want you there.

Much as I would have LIKED to have known he wasn't alone, on the other hand, he obviously wanted to be.

Dudes, really, stop.

Its that simple. All this other bitchassness shows how weak people are these days

I know someone who lives in Eden Prairie, and she said the talk changed about three or four weeks ago to maybe he decided enough was enough because of an underlying illness. Without the autopsy report to fill in the blanks, we may never know. It doesn't seem like his personality to simply stop, but I am sure he would have wanted to control his exit if he could or needed to. It is very tragic no matter how or why.

Why was he alone? I can't understand nor come to terms with the fact that it's being reported that he had to be revived in Moline after a near fatal overdose and that someone would be taking him to Walgreens a mere five days later for more drugs....then to leave him all alone to O.D. by himself the next day. Six days after he died right before their eyes....they just shut them tight and let him for again It's absolute madness and it angers me to no end!

These are things that are weighing heavily on my mind as well. The warning was there with the emergency plane landing...the chance was there to start fixing what was wrong. But it didn't get fixed and it's hard to understand why.

Obviously I don't know the facts, but I feel Prince was trying his hardest to hide what was going on and trying to help himself behind the scenes. But trying to keep it under wraps seemed to only worsen the problem and was the reason why it got so out of control. I wish he would have just took a vacation and checked himself in some where.

So true. People with addiction need to talk open about their intentions for this very reason!

Prince was in no shape to call the shots on his medical care. The worst thing that's come out, imo, is that he was seen by a doctor at least three times in the 7 days before he died, and not hospitalized.

Because a doctor can't actually keep him in a hospital if he doesn't want to be in one unless he's mentally ill. There's a very long legal process to get that to happen, IF you can manage to prove that he was legally incompetent, which he wasn't.

A doctor can only advise him to go to a hospital. If Prince wanted to stay at home, then he was allowed to do that, despite obviously being sick.

Lastly.. the part that concerns me most...is that he DID Reach out to someone and invite them to stay a couple days with him after the plane incident.. and they told him that their schedule wouldn't allow it... Tamron hall.. and for people like prince (and me) that could be taken 2 ways... as in 1 - ok cool.. no scene.. do your thing and life goes on or 2 - wow this shit just happened to me and I need someone to be there and you can't make it. Ok cool. I guess that's how it is then.. well ok.. with a quiet resentment and that invite will never come again because to him it could have been a rare reach out for help (instead of being the one to always and constantly help others) and when that rebuff comes.. it automatically triggers a self protection mechanism that makes you decide that you don't want ANYBODY around at all now. Like u don't need them.. so everybody gotta go..and you retreat into yourself and don't want any company at all. I've had that reaction a few times well....and I know where it stems from....

What is the source of this info about Tamron Hall? If it's true, you are quite right about the possible reaction. Cannot speak for Prince, but I know I would react that way for sure. And yeah, I know where it stems from too.

Agreed. This was Prince. No-one could have made him do anything he didn't want to. And he clearly wanted to be alone that night. So he was.

If they had known that he would be dead within hours, yeah, they might have done something crazy. I'm sure they're going through many options now from setting fire to PP to throwing a tantrum in the parking lot. I know I have thought of a few things if time travel became an option. But in reality they didn't know and they thought that everything would be alright in the morning. Just a few hours away.

Prince wasnt meant to live hobbling along from place to place in pain. It isn't better for us, but it is better for him. I wouldnt want him to suffer. He did the best he could in the end but still couldn't stop moving. He wanted to contribute even when he was in the grips of addiction. We need to come to terms with the same thing that gave us the vision of Prince, that's the same thing that brought his demise. He traded brilliance for that fateful time for us.

Life. It is what we which are lucky to make of it is...

Prince had luck....but never relied on it......just he went well beyond expectations...

expectation.......life........he knew and sang abt mortality...

we can't be so selfish to think his life/death was abt how we feel.

this is what we love abt he did.

just so good!!!!
