I disagree. The ones that are frauds though are pretty darn evil and some skepticism is important. But I believe in it based on some of my own experiences as well as those of people in my immediate family and friends and friends of friends. The best example is the father of my sister's friend who dreamed of the lottery numbers and won second division after using them in a ticket. Pretty good proof. ...and other instances like my mother dreaming a specific action being performed by a person and the next morning we find that that person (in all 3 cases it was a relative) died over night - with there having been no warning of their declining health. Her sister also predicted her own death and a few monts later was killed in a car accident when a car went through a red light. Some study showed that a significant percentage of the population believes in psychic ability - and I am not sure if with this it was also that they had personal experience of this themselves. Just because it is difficult to prove because it is what is going on inside one's mind and may often involve very personal information does not mean it cannot exist. Absence of proof for is not (certainty of) proof against. [Edited 6/11/16 7:09am]

Mmmm...I don't know.
This wasn't an actual reading of any kind. The woman mentions that someone named "Angus" says [this or that] about Prince...who's Angus? Is that her source? Is he the actual medium/psychic? Also, so much time has passed now since April 21 that people have had time to learn a lot about Prince and that could sway them. I've seen 2 real readings and psychics talk who have sounded 100% accurate about Prince. Both were on YouTube. One was a numbers type of reading that was quite long and right after April 21...sounded soooo legit. The other was a briefer one someone on this site linked us to by a young woman and she sounded legit too. This one was more recent. If I can find the links I'll come back and post them. I listened to another psychic reading on YouTube last night and this morning. The cards were very accurate but the psychic didn't know how to read her own cards or see what Prince was trying to tell us. I saw it easily. She was contradicting herself and at the end gave no answer. Not confident enough in her abilities and for good reason. There might be people who are tuned in to the other side psychically, but really it's about metaphysics and spirituality. When one goes through a spirituAl process (not religious), they get close to God and can know something about those who have passed. I know evacuee I have actual experience in that myself. I know when someone dies it's gonna be alright.

Ummm even most atheists agree that there more than likely was a historical Jesus. What u believe about may be he was just a teacher or whatever but not many historians flat out think he did not exist. keenly said:

Considering Prince's beliefs, do you honestly think he would turn to mediums or clairvoyants to give any answers in the afterlife? There are many verses in the Bible that speak out against this. Also, this implies that the "person" Prince still exists in an afterlife, as someone who is concerned about the worldly. I would think in the afterlife, one would only bask in the glory of God, not be concerned with communicating with those they left behind.

Hard to say. Prince was into Egyptology, Gnostic Christian sects(that is where his addition of Lilith & Adam in the Rainbow children come from) and Reincarnation.
not to mention the Matrix and the Wizard of Oz

If Houdini couldn't find a legitimate psychic, who can? "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

Certainly there are many, many people who claim to be mediums who are either complete frauds are who are fooling themselves. However, it really only takes one who is legitimate for it to not be complete nonsense. Here's my story.
I took it really hard when my father passed away 21 years ago from asbestos. I spent time online on a grief newsgroup (which is basically a message board today). There was a guy on there who claimed to be a medium. From the time I knew he was going to die, I made my own Houdini test. I didn't even tell my father about it. The test was this - we had a nickname for each other that was a name, but it wasn't our names of the names of anyone in our family. It wasn't anyting that could be researched or guessed. It was an inside joke between the two of us.
So that was my only question to this person. Tell me the nickname. I expected some probing questions, partial guesses, etc. Instead he wrote back with one word, which was the exact answer.
