THANK YOU! That's what is lost in the process of grief among sensible and delusional fans. Prince dealt with his health problems the best way he knew how that would allow him to keep traveling to play concerts on the Piano & Microphone Tour, produce a second 3RDEYEGIRL album, produce an instrumental funk album around Kirk Johnson, MONONEON and Adrian Crutchfield and write his autobiography. He was a grown man who was fiercely independent for all of his life that manifested into 4 decades of awe-inspiring music, daring image changes and innovation in business. Only thing about an intervention, is that because Prince was their boss, if employees did setup an intervention, if he threatened to fire them, there goes the help. Prince would have to make the decision for himself to seek long term medical care for a few months-that means not thinking about music, but focusing on managing his chronic pain using other means. 3121 #1 THIS YEAR

Just saw this article on the dangers of Fentanyl. http://kstp.com/national/...?cat=12678 Interesting and downright scarey, although it's not directly related to Prince.

These two articles have been pointed out in the "BREAKING NEWS.." thread, and I thought that they should also be posted here (the two threads seem to be reaching similar conclusions):
"Prince Died of Fentanyl Overdose" by Ann M. Gault * June, 2, 2016 RIP Prince. We will NEVER forget you. Thank you so much.

Fentanyl is also used in epidurals and other anesthesia, so t's not uncommon in a hosptal setting. [Edited 6/26/16 23:10pm]

112 lbs seems low to many people, but remember he was 5'2 and ate very healthy, and probably sweated off all his daily calories and then some up on stage and rehearsal, etc. I am also 5'2 and at one point was 112 lbs and I promise you, I was not too skinny. I was just right...plus I had boobs (pretty decent sized ones, at that) LOL. I was in no way too thin, and I didn't get a lot of exercise or eat super healthy. Plus if he was feeling ill for the last couple weeks, he might have dropped a few lbs as well. 112 to me for Prince doesnt seem crazy. For a man, I know that is low, but he was so tiny. I saw him up close in concert in Vegas at the 3121 concert and he turned to the side and I was so shocked how slim he was. And small. This was in 2007. Until you see him up close, you dont realize how tiny he really was. I do agree he looked a little older in the last year or so. I noticed more in his face. But then again, he was approaching 60. God I miss that man!
Also, can someone tell me how to add the signature quote at the end of my posts? This is my first post! Been lurking for years, but never posted. :-0 [Edited 6/27/16 8:54am] "Put on your boots Alfred...let's go!"

All of the comments I have read have been excellent. I now choose to go to the light and remember Prince for the man and music he was. I believe he would prefer that we dwell on his good works and not the way he died. Prince lived and breathed music, his life had no room for anything else and he has left us a vault of music to keep his legacy alive. Rejoyce in his going home because one day we will meet again. Blessings to all.

Good Point... I have nonstop Prince on rotation at work (of course) and Lavaux just came on. Maaaaaybe that's where he went? Maybe he slipped out and just went "home" to live in Lavaux... Chillin', sippin' some wine? Maybe he's writing his will there to send back home and chuckling about all this nonsense? One can dream. We have 2 more days to see if anything in "June" meant anything about "this" June. That song made me think, maybe in June, something will be revealed and will make more sense.... (lyrics also below). YOU NEVER KNOW...
Lavaux Take me to the vineyards of Lavaux I don't care if they are covered with snow Take me to the streets of Portugal There ain't nobody got no chains on me Come take me to an assembly in New York Revolution time has come today Lavaux Take me to the vineyards of Lavaux
JUNE Pasta simmers on the stove in June Somebody's wife Tell me, what did you have for Lunch today? That's right how would I know? How would I know? You're off Somewhere Being free While I starve in the lonesome cold Our bodies got used to each other Now they are used to the sound of Richie Havens Voice on the vinyl spinnin' round and round Round and round Sometimes I feel like I was born way too late Should have been born on the Woodstock stage But I'm just here waiting & waiting & waiting Somebody famous had a birthday today But all eye saw was another full moon What's that? Something' Burnin' on the stove It must be the Pasta It must be the Pasta Oh Yeah, it's June

Thanks for turning me on with the songs above. Prince was unique in his song writing. I know songwriters and there is always a back story on each song. One of my friends was writing with some folks and he had the funniest line I had ever heard. I find the back story more interesting than the song sometimes. Prince was unique in his use of imagery and the use of melody to separate words giving them double meaning. Another thing I find interesting is how young he was when wrote some of these songs which prove he was really an old soul. I am the same age as Prince and I have been looking back at the videos from the 80s with a big smile. You had to graduate in 1976 to understand the leg warmers.

I agree that he has looked thinner in recent years. Especially his face. Just saying that when you see him in person, like you also have, you realize how small 5'2 on a man is and how fit he was. Not bulky, but thin, but not skinny, more like "compact" haha. 112lbs looks different on different people, I suppose. (5'2 people I mean). On me, it wasn't a skinny look. It was healthy. I could see 120 looking good on him as well, but remember, that's only 8 more lbs than 112. LOL I could gain that eating a sandwich these days! Of course, I have no idea what his weight was when I saw him in Vegas in 2007. Just saying, in general, 112 on a 5'2 fit person is not unheard of. I am the exact same height that Prince was... 63 inches and I am telling you for real, that 112 on his male frame was too dang thin! If you objectively look at pics of his last few concert and appearances,He is uncomfortbly thin His shoulder blades actually show through his shirt at his last concert... he has lost weight, his coloring is off and he's lost elastisity in his skin. To me this red flags dehydration, not eating right, possibly anemia. And this is just based on a brief visual of him during the past year. I would put money down that for at least 3 if not 6 months, he wasnt eating or drinking enough, that to me is obvious. The rest is speculation. Live4Love and Love4OneAnother.. It's the only way.

Yeah, I hadn't seen his body lately, but I had noticed he had looked older and more tired in the face and eyes. I'm sure he is at peace now, wherever that may be. The death certificate is a BIG LIE. Well done Minnesota. The world's problems like climate change can only be solved through strategic long-term thinking, not expediency. In other words all the govts. need sacking!
