Thanks, had not seen this one yet, will read this one later. At the moment I am just saving all and any Prince related web articles that I come across. And there are many ... ! [Edited 6/1/16 8:46am] Forever changed

What a awesome read! As is the second part (page 2) about the sexual aspect of Prince, etc. Thanks for sharing. Eventually every cloud runs out of rain.

I'm nearly done reading but had to stop and thank you for sharing, Genesia.
Hats off to the author. So many great observations... I was worried for a second when she mentioned Toure (don't get me started on him ) and the 2014 panel for his book (btw I also cringed at that moment when the panelists basically ignored Danyel Smith's story, which gave me chills!)...
Anyways, THANK YOU. Just what I've been needing... Going to finish reading now...

Great article, very moving and astute "Almost all art is trying to become an anaesthetic and at the same time a healing session drawing up the magical electrics.”

I'm glad I decided to click on the thread and follow up by clicking on the link. I'm getting tired of reading things that seem, well... let's not worry about what so many things seem. This was worth it.
Thank you for pointing it out.

Loved the interweaving of the apparent opposites in which Prince somehow managed to encompass and transcend both, leading a new way forward.

I commented over at Pop Matters that I posted Ms. Jones' piece here - and received this lovely reply from her: I'm so grateful for you doing that. I've been lurking over there a fair bit the last weeks, but haven't signed up - I'm one of those people who uses their voice for a living who's somewhat uncomfortable about talking to people she doesn't know I had a look at the post - if you get this, can you pass on my very purple best to everyone over there We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.
