I actually taped this and watched it last night after I put my son to bed. I wasn't expecting a lot, but I actually thought it wasn't bad. Some of the people they interviewed had some interesting things to say. I actually thought the Clinical Psychologist they interviewed for the story had some interesting insights and observations (although I'm sure he didn't personally know Prince) but I thought his take on Prince's life was interesting. Even though this doc was more spectulatative in nature it had some interesting footage on Prince I haven't seen before and wasn't as exploitive as I assumed it was going to be.

I was watching the one on James Brown before that and had planned on watching the Prince episode, but was turned off because they apparently didn't have the rights to use James' actual music. Was that the case in the Prince special as well?

Recorded and deleted w/o finishing. Once I realized it was just a couple of people, including a guy from the Natinal Enquirer, sitting around speculating about Prince I turned it off and opened up some dvr memory. At this point, as a fan, I am way past hearing rag-type speculation from non-playas.

OMG..yes that National Enquirer guy..he was very annoying..and didn't offer anything to the show, just reiterating gossip. I liked the KSTP lady however.

Hmm..I don't remember them playing Prince music during it, they did show concert fotage however but talked over it.

The show was boring..................I couldn't get thru 15 minutes.
