Good story/video about Beck performing at Governor's Ball on June 3rd. He dedicated a portion of his set to Prince and told the story about hugging him at the 57th Grammy Awards and how he felt about it. There's a great picture of the hug in the article and it really made me smile. Sorry if this has been posted already, I didn't notice that it had.

I was lucky enought see Beck in Manchester in 2005, great gig, does his own thing, like Prince in that respect.

Beck isn't popular enough. Dude just has always had 'it'. Fantastic artist.

Beck is awesome. Fantastic artist, I agree. Seems very genuine.

That's very sweet that he had that moment with Prince! I'm glad it went over well. Seemed like Beck was nervous about the whole thing but got him to smile!

very sweet. i just watched the actual video of him winning and the hug. totally forgot how kanye tried to ruin his moment.

Prince actually looks like he could be in pain in that picture with the way he's holding his cane.

I'm glad Beck has this moment to cherish, along with his win (especially in light of the other stuff that went on). I can see Prince having a lot of respect and appreciation for Beck. Very sweet.

Cool to read that Beck was still in awe. I can only imagine what those two would have done in the studio together. Beck can be funky when he wants to.

"Debra" is my favorite Prince homage ever, although Beck claims he was chanelling 90s loverman R&B in general.
