I just have to add my hearfelt thank you to all of you wonderful people. I am new to the Org, but not new to Prince. He has been a part of my life since I was 12 years old. He got me through middle school, high school, and all of the many years since then! Somehow, he always had the right lyrics, the right music, the right attitude, the right everything to somehow get me from point a to point b. Even through all of the years of raising a family, I've brought him with me. I'd buy every CD, listen to everything new and watch to see what he was doing. Maybe I didn't really love it all, but that was cool because I knew something different was right around the corner. And odds were, I would probably really love that. He'd kind of been on the back burner the last few years. He was always in rotation, but a little less lately. I am really struggling with his loss. I feel like a crazy person. I am grieving a man that I never met like he was a member of my own family. The sense of loss is overwhelming. If not for you, I would feel completely alone in this. So thank you. It is comforting to find people who can understand how somebody can love a person like we love Prince.

Awww you are not alone (giving you a big Purple Hug now) , we are all feeling the same. Some days I feel a little better but some are still terrible. We just have to keep hanging in there. It is hard as some of us dont have freinds or family that understand that we feel like we lost a family member, but that is where the Org is comforting.

Oh man!! You guys are amazing! You have brought tears and a smile with all of your kind words. Please keep all of your amazing stories and pictures coming. I love being reminded of what a kind, generous, funny, talented and exquisite man he was.

The strangest thing is....Of course I was saddened by MJ, Bowie, etc passing. I grew up with and loved them as well. I didn't quite get 'fanaatical ' fans when they passed, esp MJ as much as I liked MK. Did I feel it? Sure.. When this happened to PRince, I finally 'got' how some of those fans felt. I could not believe it...Definitely a HARD hit. Like loosing family as weird as it sounds.

I am not new to the Org per se, according to my profile information I hadn't logged in 8 years; but I've been "lurking" religiously since our beloved's transistion. I have wanted to post but couldn't find the nerve. This site has given me great comfort during this time and I, like the OP, thank all of you for that.
