Songs/Artists Prince influenced

Since, I've already created a thread citing artists that influenced Prince; how about naming some that prove his influence:

George Michael - 'I want your sex'
Janet Jackson - 'Control' album
Most of Jam and Lewis's work ('Alexander O'Neal etc.)
Side one of 'Dangerous' by Michael Jackson
Justin Timberlake vocal-style
Jay-Z (Sample of 'IIWYG)
2-Pac (Sample of 'Darling Nikki)
Britney Spears (Sample of 'Nasty Gir??, Mayte choreagraphed video)
D'Angelo
Fugees (Covered 'The Cross)
Maxwell
Madonna (Let's not get into THAT topic again)

I have to add "tommy lee" after seeing him perform at summerfest last summer. i noticed he was trying lots of prince's type funk in his songs that was never there bfore. lots of audience contact. a dedicated song 2 his deceased dad...however, he DID NOT say "there will b no 4 letter words on this stage tonight!" he let loose as always. but i must say after not enjoying his music bfore, SOME songs were cool due to the added funkiness. looking at his whole body covered in tatoos was a bit much. yuck! but the stage was very smoke filled, and a video of mayte or pam sliding down a strippers pole etc. took the attention away from him. he couldnt compliment "milwaukee" enough. it was his 1st time playing it. mayte, who i showed up to see mostly, was not around. other than tommy utilizing princes talents:
  • THE TIME (DUH!)
  • ALICIA KEYES
  • SHEILA E
  • CELINE DION ( noticed this on her tv special)
I'm sure theres many more. no time to think right now.
May the BELLS ring 4 U even when ur not in love. hug kisses

Phil Collin's "Sussudio" is a virtual re-write of "1999"
