Yep. Me too. I read it about two weeks ago. And said, it is just a matter of time before someone sees this eerie concidence....painkillers involved back then too.

So... someone broke doctor/patient privacy? Yeah, I'm going to give my money to someone that publishes that shit. Assuming that any of it is true.

No thanks.

This is pretty well documented and I believe Mayte is the source, correct?

Except in that case, the "painkillers" were aspirin or tylenol, not opioids. The same story is in Possessed : The Rise and Fall of Prince.

Ironically I started a thread with similar content in the Jason Draper book.

Probably a strange coincidence but it's so weird to see it in print.....

Some of this I recall from the SLAVE book, things about the childs death and "police" being called in, the babysitters selling stories to tabloids about PRINCE not being able to be the one to "pull the plug" on the child how all of that took its toll, also referenced drinking etc... But I mean considering these babysitters sold their story to rag magazines I never really put much into it.

And see how easy it is to spin a story into something salacious? Tylenol or Advil vs Percocet. The media loves to enhance shit.

The most interesting thing about that story, at this point, is April 21.

This has been posted within days of his passing. sad

The story is about April 21 1996. 20 years later, to the day, he died. He also recorded "Sometimes It Snows In April" and "Life Can Be So Nice" on April 21, 1985, the former of which has been referenced a lot since he died.

It's all just a coincidence.

what gets my interest, other than the date is that what caused him to drink the wine and take the painkillers (aspirin, right? or tylenol)...which was supposedly pain and heart palpitations.

mayte was 3-4 mo pregnant, so its possible he was nervous and had a panic attack or was stressed about something music related. but it does open the possibility that he had a longstanding heart issue and perhaps was under treatment all these years and it could be what took him.

the date is definitely freaky, but the underlying reason he got himself in that state could be significant.
