Does anyone else feel like this album was like a cathartic album for Prince? I know he always had some essence of personal to his stuff, but this just felt really personal to me and a sense of getting some things off his chest.

I think all his albums have some catharsis to them. maybe this one would have the advantage of having the sound of catharsis, with it being so mellow. The words hit alot deeper with only the guitar and minimal production. This album should have been available in a wider release.
