why do some people act like they dont like him but do When i lived with my brother he always knocked me for playin prince said he didnt dig him he was into rush.i left for baseball practice forgot my glove turned around went back home and my brother has lets go crazy booming playing air guitar with his back to me.i never told him i saw him.friends said they didnt dig him but i found prince cds in there car.whats up with that? stickman | |

Because there was, IMHO, this belief that he was gay because of some of the things he did. I mean even the other day I was watching his live performance of I Wanna Be Your Lover and I kinda chuckled cuz there he is in thigh highs and zebra bikini underwear. My friends son is 14. She loves Prince and her husband loves MJ. Their son flat out said he's team MJ cuz Prince is gay. My friend set his straight, but still- he was very ambiguous and God forbid, someone dare just go out and do what they want to do without being labeled this or that... RIGHT!?! Surprise, surprise.

It never stopped straight men listening to Queen and wearing t-shirts with Queen on the front and Freddie was gay. He even had a video dressed up as a woman. I have never understood this with some Prince fans being embarrassed listening to Prince music. Something wrong with them not Prince or his music. AM i the only straight guy who was never embarrassed and always proud of my musical tastes. Maybe my fuck them what anybody else thinks attitude helps. | |

I remember my brother when Purple Rain hit big. At first he was making fun of Prince girly ways and calling him Princess.
Then one day I got home and walked into the TV room, where he was sitting listening very closely to the video of Let's Go Crazy. I looked at him, puzzled and asked him what he thought, and he said "damn he plays like Jimi but better!".
My other half also calls Prince Princess, but he's the one cranking up the volume if stuff like Crimson and Clover, Just my imagination, Empty Room, Hardrocklover or The Breakdown comes on -- he likes all the big melancholy songs with guitar solos, anything like Something In the Water Reloaded or All Along the Watchtower/Best of you. | |

People with issues re Prince's sexuality. Especially the men. So stupid, so ridiculous. In real life, people DO need to be able to separate the person from their stage personna...yet so many can't figure that out.
