Hard working, gifted, generous, spiritual, funny and a sweet tooth It seems like the consensus on Prince is that his work ethic exceeded his immense talent. He was tremendously generous, had a strong spiritual awareness and was hilariously funny. I also find it comforting to know that he had a weakness for sweets. I think he would be very comfortable with people remembering him for those things. [Edited 5/27/16 10:42am]

I think he loved doritos too. his hs music teacher said he wasn't much impressed with P's talent and that out of he and Andre, he thought Andre had more of a shot. But he also said, Prince worked his ass off until he got something.

I prefer gifted, hard working, generous, spiritual, funny and a sweet tooth. In that order. I find the idea that his "work ethic exceeded his immense talent." a bit of a back handed compliment. He was first and foremost immensely talented. The wooh is on the one!

When I say his work ethic exceeded his immense talent I mean that in the most positive way possible. No one worked harder. He clearly had a very special gift, but I know a lot of lazy gifted people who can do great things without really trying. Did Hendrix work like Prince? Prince is the rare mix of great talent and exceptional work ethic. Several players in the NBA had more talent than Jordan. None worked harder. That is why he is the best ever and there will never be another one. That work ethic has really inspired me and others to work harder. I think that is a great legacy to have. If you read stuff by the people who were around Hendrix they said he always had a guitar in his hands and was constantly noodling. More than just a talented party animal for sure. Brand new boogie without the hero.

genius is 1 percent inspiration and 99 percent persperation-Edison. It is true and is in no way an insult to Prince that he worked harder than anyone I know of in pop music. You'd have to go with a guy like edison, a guy who was so inspired that he didn't sleep much to find comparable people to Prince.
