Tony would be proud of you.
Seriously though, I expected Dick Gregory or somebody to come out of the woodwork with something similar but Greg must be sliipping. All he came up with is that P was killed on the plane.
Griff and that crew are saying it's all about the masters.
Then there's whispers about Jay from some others.
I was surprised that none of those absurdities came up here?
I'm surprised, too... You'd think that there would be a build up of conspiracy theories in the wake of Prince's passing... I guess he's just not as controversial as MJ...and others.

When was it u saw him in '14?
I saw him play two back-to-back sold out shows at the Fillmore benefitting a local non-profit on 03/19/14 (319! LOL). I can still remember it to this day...especially after the second show ended after 3 a.m. and most of the crowd had left after the encores... Those of us who remained knew better...and sure enough there was more music. Not live, but Prince played some new recordings (one of them was The Breakdown) and a couple of other unfamilar ones which later ended up on the HitnRun CDs. I can remember him shyly peeping out of the sidestage to see what our reaction was... He wanted so much for us to like his new songs. And he promised to come back to the area...which he did. Y'know, I did notice a difference but at first I just thought he was finally beginning to age. It wasn't until January of 2016 that I started to become uneasy about the way he looked.
i noticed his face seemed thinner, and his skin had what seemed like a yellow cast to it, last october. i was a little shocked but thought it was the lighting. reminded me of dad and his pancreatic cancer |

Kind of like my mom with liver cancer too. Her face began to look very drawn and gaunt. It's hard to look at those pics even now.
I wish you could tell all the people of Minnesota how grateful I am for how they are respecting and caring for his dignity and his memory just like the Sheriff promised....good, salt of the earth folk there.

Whatever anyone has to say about Prince, he was a true music workaholic to the end. His work ethic was amazing...and not beneficial to his health. He thought so much of his fans that he didn't want to disappoint them...and rescheduled his Atlanta concert even though it wasn't in his best interest to do so. He did care about the people who loved his music despite actions in the past which would make it seem as if he didn't. minnesotans loved prince. we were all proud of him, and grateful for him helping to put minnesota on the map. the sheriff and judge eide are honorable dudes, and i think everyone involved is aware of the need to honor prince. it's the least we can all do, after everything he did for us here. i think they will continue to protect his privacy. minneapolis shines just a bit less brightly without him and i think generally folks still miss him here. lots of prince posters up and staying up, that sort of thing. |

Well, I think Prince was looking forward to a second coming...but not himself. I guess some people think he is performing with the crew who (they think) never passed on... Alright, is it just me or has anyone ever noticed that when someone is singing and they open their mouth wide enough, you can see fillings and that sort of thing. Did Prince not even have any fillings? Were his teeth that perfect? Just been REALLY noticing everything physically about him lately. Really miss him.

I saw the In Touch magazine article when I was at the grocery store checkout today, July 4. It shocked me but I stepped out of line and let other people go through and read the whole article. It was all of two pages with a lot of space taken up by large photos. And the actual text story was so full of holes it was disgusting. It made me sad that rags have to do this crap to sell magazines. |

yep...just mention Prince was Black and like magic your thread will disappear I remember when I was 11 years old back in 1984 when my dad says to me "Prince is black". I said no he's not! My dad says, well what is he ? I said ,I don't know, Italian? I was in love with Prince and did not really analyze his race. I asked Prince what he was planning to do.
