Prince was a Jehovah's Witness Does anyone know what Prince's religion was really about? Why was he interested in the JW's? "Who really was he inside?"

Larry Graham got him involved with the JWs. They have a lot of beliefs that mainstream Christianity don't agree with. If you want to find out what they are about Google them. There's tons of info on them.

To those posting about the Religion's site, you should get a different perspective as well. https://www.youtube.com/w...GaN0zYJlMs "Who really was he inside?"

That was possibly the most vapid video I've ever seen. No insight at all was gained from it.

I never thought it was about much more than order for him, from time to time.

dallywally said: To those posting about the Religion's site, you should get a different perspective as well. https://www.youtube.com/w...GaN0zYJlMs He asked what they were about, everything they believe is on their site along with their explanation as to why. Why go listen to someone who *thinks* they know, but really don't know about the religion and actively spreads misinformation? Or someone who does know, but is butthurt about being disfellowshipped and their family/friend's DECISION not to associate with them and so puts a negative spin and actively lies about the doctrine? Of all the things people have said about Jehovah's Witnesses and claimed that they believe on this site, about 99.8% have been wrong either out of misunderstanding or malice. Comments on these forums would have you believe they adhere to some kind of Christian version of Sharia Law, hate Jesus, worship a pagan God, and refuse all medical treatment - none of that is true in any sense. People on here act like they're scientologists or something; they cannot force anyone to convert, in fact the aggression and vigilantism that many seem to be associated with is actually AGAINST their doctrine - they talk about this it's looked down upon. One has to choose to be involved - if they think you're not really about it or that you're forcing yourself to do it, they will not let you get baptized. I know people like to get anecdotal about that time Jehovah's Witnesses "wouldn't leave them alone", but it's not the doctrine - just like any other religion, you've got old zealots running around acting like they've got all the answers and need to save *you* in particular by never shutting up. Unfortunely, those people tend to be slightly more common in this religion because of the emphasis on your "spiritual conscience" and zeal and they tend to be the ones hellbent on going out in field service *everyday*, but if you look who it is, it's almost always old people (people in their 50s+) trying to shove it down people's throat - the younger adults of the crowd tend to be a lot more reasonable and the kids too unless force fed to the point of weirdness by their parents, which is not usually the case. In reality, a lot of people are just upset about that literal one time a Jehovah's Witness knocked on their door in the morning and they pretended to be asleep and just wanna join the bashing bandwagon. Jehovah's Witnesses are really NOT that different from the Mormons, but they get all the crap. They're regular people just like everybody else, you walk past them on the street, you sit in Starbucks at the table across from them, you talk to them at work/school/wherever etc... people don't hate them until they find out they're a Jehovah's Witness, then they proceed to make up all this crap about what that "weird" dude believes and the stories roll in.
