And now i'm in love with his music, but here in Mexico it seems as nobody knows him and when they do, they don't like his music.

P.M. Dawn - not to be confused with the cousin of the original members who trademarked the name when Attrell Cordes was in hospital after a series of strokes, kidney failure, loss of vision and double leg amputation - interviews post 2010 are with a cousin of the artist everyone called P.M. Dawn (who was in contact with prince, exchanging songs , recorded some stuff at Paisley).

Interesting none. I happen to come upon and like them before I like Prince or even knew they were associated with Prince.

Example Sheila E. - remember randomly seeing her on TV not knowing who she was loving the song and her style. Same with Morris Day and The Time I saw them on the performance with Rihanna and I remembered loving them, and family singing along.
Didn't know they came from Prince until later on.

All the associated artists, as has already been mentioned plus many more, I'd even include any from people in the non-Prince forum here on the Org.

I'm most happy about finding:

-KING (because of the co-sign and PP gig)

-Harts

Outside of the Associated Artists, it would be mainly Nikka Costa and Lianne La Havas that I hadn't discovered elsewhere.

Also the Fat Jazzy Grooves series, because of Mad (being built atop Beebop Ta Hip Hop by Headshock).

I wasn't introduced to any new artists from Prince because by the time I discovered Prince, I was already listening to a bunch of other music. As far as his protégés, well I'll be honest imho they weren't the best, with the exception of The Time and Sheila E.
