Prince's humor Anyone ever find out who this woman was? This was posted years ago on here from a show 19 years ago. I'm at a stage where hearing him make jokes has eased the pain. Too funny! But was she an org member? https://m.youtube.com/wat...VNEMOwiLXc

I think what people forget about Prince was that he was proud to be black and never stopped to emphasize black culture in some way, even down to the way in which he said certain things. Despite people being angry that in PR his mother was deemed as white, inaccurately, and his choice of women (that we know of), along with his race-ascending music, he was always very much in the culture. He looked so fine. I'm 23, but wow.

that clip is a little like why i never actually approached the guy at any of those paisley park parties to tell him how much i *loved* him. i knew he'd be all like, edging away.. nervously looking for a bodyguard or something i kind of wish i'd spoken to him, but then again maybe not. that's your spot....

OMG I've not seen this in ages!!!! This looks like the JOTY world tour in 1997 or 1998. I'm surprised she wasn't shuffled off stage quicker, or at all. Even Mike Scott was like "Oh hell no - BYE". Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

He looked so fine. I'm 23, but wow. Hey just so you know- Prince, in old interviews, when asked about his parents said himself: "My dad is black and my mom is Italian" He may have felt at that time he HAD to say he was biracial because he wanted his music to be played beyond just "black" radio- but some of the misconceptions people have about his race came directly from him. I think that's an important part of his history because it should make some people see why that was really awful for him to even have to do and should make us all question why that's even a thing and further- what can we do to stop that in the future. Lots of people pass for other to get by and that's really a tragic mess it even has to be that way... He wanted the whole world to hear him so he did what he had to do to get past some of the color lines that existed then and still exist today. But on that subject- My favorite part of UTCM is when he was in the car teasing Mary Sharon about "how she got black" ... Everyone points to the wreckastow scene but that car scene was classic Prince in his most glorious blackness. I love that man. EVERY DAMN THING ABOUT HIM. Surprise, surprise.
Another treat. Another trick.

I'm sure it is. The stage set up is that of the JOTY. The piano was downstage right. The symbol was right in the middle with a little stairway coming down (almost similar to the Rave Into PPV). Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Wow, he had some awful bands. From one extreme to the other. "Can't fuck with my band" to "Hey, let's do medleys all night."

That never stops being as hilarious as the first time I watched it! I love that shit! "We just let people talk & say whatever they want 2 say. 9 times out of 10, trust me, what's out there now, I wouldn't give nary one of these folks the time of day. That's why I don't say anything back, because there's so much that's wrong" - P, Dec '15

I bet if Questlove put this up on his Twitter -- that someone from Philly would know who it is. Then we'd finally have the answer...

I remember seeing footage of the memorial the family held on the 23rd of April where the people giving out the Purple boxes. There was this lady and I thought she may have been the lady at this concert. Here's the video, the lady appears at 1:17. If it isn't let me know and I'll delete this post out of respect for the woman. https://www.youtube.com/w...8PLVQ[url] Love is God,
