The YouTube Explosion Since Prince's Passing...

This goes to show just how unfortunate it was that Prince was so severe with his video policing. Millions and millions of people are now seeing and hearing his genius and coming to find a huge library of music they probably never knew existed, and new fans are being born. Yes, his death has created a new interest as all celebrities' do, but had all this stuff been accesible all this time, I believe Prince's fanbase would have been exponentially larger. I feel like a whole generation missed out.

I'm sure things will eventually get clamped down, but I am glad that people are getting to expereince a bit of what they haven't been able to for 25 years or so.

I think it's great. It is such a shame that Prince wanted to hide so much of this stuff from the world.Casual and curious fans are now seeing what was so amazing about Prince and his music.

Agree. Maybe his not leaving a will (so far) is his final gift to us. He is beyond that now.

Brand new boogie without the hero.
